I have clicked on the ... and have configured my sims 4 path, however after doing so it displays a text that reads. "An error has occurred. Please report this. Thanks  " |

Where did you install s4s and what does the path looks like? Also, if the path indeed changed, restart s4s and try again

Documents, but I've installed s4s in the past in the same place with no issues. ![]() Here's where I directed the path. |

That said, you cannot install it there. Your system files are on the c drive and many locations are protected. If installed there, the program will have no permission to do things. Delete s4s and install it in the recommended location, in program files (x86), or on the d drive

In the first screenshot it is Documents folder, not ts4 installation folder. The game path is empty in the second one. Also, you must enter creator's name, s4s uses it when generating unique names to packages
- If you dont know where ts4 is installed on your computer, in EA app go to the library, click on ... in the corner of ts4, choose View properties, click on Browse;
- copy the path:
- in s4s settings click on ... next to Sims 4 path and paste the path there. Restart s4s.

My sims 4 is connected through steam so the location is different :-/

And the game path was empty because I had just entered the location, resulting in the error message.
