Ok so I'm back again with sims 3 conversion problems. So for sims 3 shoes you place the sims 3 texture file in the bottom left and for hair in the top left but I can't figure out where to place the texture/uv map so that it doen't overlap onto the skin. I was trying to use this thread for help but no luck. Here is my original thread for reference. And also here is a link to my blend file

Hi, I tried to make a map to show you where each part "should go". As you can see the body parts have to be moved in the left mid part. The sleeves on the right. The extra parts like the collar and some details can be either put in the extra parts slots or between the arms since it's a top. If it is an outfit you can freely put the collar and the other details in both extra slots if it is a top I suggest to put it on the right because this way texture overlapping is less likely to happen. Remember when you are moving the uv islands always check the uv maps of the body parts that your mesh will have. In this case you have to pay attention to not overlap the neck area, part of the legs and the hands. Let me know how it goes UN

Hi katie, when you open your Sims 4 item's mesh in Blender the template image (without the template on it) should be present in the .blend by default. It will be one of the texture choices you can choose. If this isn't enough help let me know and I can post a picture.

Hi waynedastar, when you first open the exported LOD (contains the mesh groups) you will see the item you cloned displayed on the model. Right mouse click on the item and click tab to go to Edit mode: On the left side of the screen you will see the map laying on an empty field. Click on the small up/down arrows surrounded by the white box in the pic below to get an image menu. Select the image yfbody.dds: This will open the body template underneath the map:
