I wanted to be able to make the outdoor grill able to be set on top of counters/tables instead of setting on its normal base. I have removed the base, but I am unsure of how to make it work properly as a tabletop grill. Could someone please help me with this? Here is the blend with the stand removed.

I took a look at this and the issue is that all the different food items that are grilled have different animations to go with them and the grill has no IK target for these animations...they seem to simply play. For example grilling beans and franks makes the Sim pull out a spoon and stir while sausages require flipping with a spatula. Because there is no IK target for the animations there is no bone to move that causes the position of the Sim's hands, the spoon, or the spatula to change while the animation plays. As a consequence their hands and utensils are moving inside the grill rather than over it. I think it would require a custom animation for each of the animations that corresponds to the various food items that can be grilled. Here, even though I've removed the legs to lower the grill the anims are too low for it: Alternatively, I think it might be possible to make an in-counter grill that would fit into the counter how sinks do. One like this:

orangemittensThat is a great idea, and thanks so much OM for the information. The animations were another concern that I had. Would it be possible to edit the existing mesh for that grill ie. make it thin to sit on a counter, or would it be more logical to just edit a grill into a stove? Or is there a way to clone from a sink and change its function to a grill. (Still new at this part of creating.)

My first inclination would be to clone a sink and replace the mesh with a grill mesh. It would need to have the rig, slot, and footprint of the grill imported into the sink clone.package and it would need the grill's tuning. It would definitely be an experiment and might take some amount of tweaking. It might take an update to Studio as well. If you get started with it and run into questions or issues let me know. If Studio needs work to successfully manage this kind of project we will update Studio

This is the first time I have tried chaning tuneing and all, so I may have made a mistake along the way. But I get the error "must be placed on specific object". At one point after I changed the tuneing/rig/slot/footprint from the grill to the sink it was completely invisible once I placed it on a counter top. I went back to a previous save of the .package and that is when I started getting the errors in the photos above. Here is a .zip with my .blends, .package, clones, texture, UV etc.

I made an outdoor grill, and want to be able to place it on counter tops.
