What format are you saving the image in?

whats your compression settings at .... i dont use gimp , but in photoshop in the save as .dds dialog there is an image option button , i have my settings at Highest

You aren't the first person to report having some issues with Gimp and saving .dds images. Studio is able to accept .png. Try saving as a 32 bit .png and see if that helps.

I am having this problem too and I use gimp (which I have been using so long, I haven't wanted to switch...). I was thinking about trying to use paint.net - is that any better? Or if I continue to use GIMP, would I use the .png just like I would dds? Would you need minimaps?
jietia ~ I read somewhere on this forum that you should select dithering for better texture, but I did notice when I selected dithering it caused the little square pixalations that are in your picture. Are you using dithering?
