Hi! orangemittensI was hoping that maybe you could help me with this: I have a furniture with drawers and I would like them to be functional in the game (that the drawer could move back and foward as usual) but I still can't figure what to do so the drawers can actually move... I tried rigging the mesh in blender but of course the sims4studio replaced it with the default rig... so I'm back to square one Please if you'd help me!! I'm desperate!

There is some restriction for create a slot? I mesh a IceCream Machine for seem like a display. When I create a slot in there, renumber the slots, save,close Studios and back, the created slots vanish.
For the game the "display" still beening a icecream machine.
This is the problem? There is some items that I can't create deco slots? How can I create deco slots in there?

Hi! You see, I'm trying to edit a table into a Retail table so I can sell goods, like at a flea market. I'm just using a basic table that is premade. I'm still rather new to object modding, and when i try to rig/slot, the tab of the same name isn't there. I'm using the latest version of Sims4Studio for Windows.

Is the table you're trying to edit CC made or from the game? If it's CC and has been created with another tool different than Studio the resources might be different and it won't work. Open a thread HERE describing the issue and share your files. (.package) so we can see and help you better.

Hi, I am a Mac user and completely new to S4S and Blender. I tried to open the object (like tables, shelf) with "create 3D Mesh", "override" and "selective clone". But the rig/slots tab won't show up. :( Do you know why? The objects I tried to open are from the game too.
I actually don't quite understand step 1. Can someone tell me the buttons I should click? 1. Create your mesh as usual. When you have imported it into the .package and you're ready to create your slots click the Rig/Slots tab.

Love the tutorial, is there any slot/rig list of all options we can use for Objects? I'm trying to make a dual sink, why can't we use the _fx_ for sinks like we can for multiple deco slots? I tried doing all the normal sink _fx_ plus adding _1 at the end of one and _2 at the end of another and it doesn't seem to work. Doesn't even move the sim from washing hands in the middle where the rigs aren't even at anymore. It's farther left or right. Please help!

The process of rotating slots has not yet been automated in Studio. It is still an annoying PIA to do. The issue is that the number needs to be changed in two places, one takes quaternions and the other takes a matrix. The number needs to match in both places. This will be automated on the Studio tab. The hold up has been patches, the Mac version, and other features that are more frequently requested. As you know, I'm rather partial to slots ^^ so this will not be an undone task forever. orangemittens is the rotate feature working yet? I saw in the warehouse under container slots there is a rotate line... this comment was almost 3 years ago so I wasn't sure if progress has been made on that. Thanks!

Hello, I have a small problem. The "Mod Slots for all EA Fridges AOM", does not work properly and not all refrigerators are included. Because of the mod, the refrigerator is broken from the pack "Get to Work". I have now created a new mod but I have some problems. If I use the "Override" option, all refrigerators will be included, even those that are not the same height. If I take the option "Selective Clone", I have the refrigerators separately but they are listed individually as CC. Actually, I wanted a mod that only adds slots. Sorry the English is bad, it's not my native language and I hope I could express myself understandably. And thank you for the great tutorial, I was able to learn something again.

can someone pls help me out here before i love my mind? )))) been trying to do this for 3 days lmao im helpless. I converted a table from TS3 bg and it looks fine in game, but i used a plant as a base and im trying to tune it to function as a table and im failing so hard. I can add slots and everything but when i tune it the chairs still wont snap or treat it as a table. I assume it has to be a slot/rig problem with where to palce the slots for the chairs but i cant figure it out. I tried to mest the conversion using a ts4 table and it works, but for some reason my conversion is see-through when i use reshade but it stil functions as a table. when I try to copy the slots from a table for chair and stuff, it shows up as a pink triangle instead of the blue cylinder. :((( how can i include a package? i can include it if i know how thanks in advance!

You might want to check THIS out. Seems pink triangle = bone, blue cylinder = slot.

"bug": using 3.1.5.6 beta. I needed to use "," as decimal separator when using the "Transform".
