When I export my png file, and open it up in photoshop - paint.net or gimp (I have them all) the entire thing is transparent? I noticed I have the 3.0.1.8 harmony version, would that have anything to do with it or is this something completely different?

I created a skin detail, stretch marks, but the thing is in CAS the entire Sim turns Dark Grey. The composition is at 0, but I also turned down the saturation in Photoshop in hopes that the detail would be transparent with all skin tones. Also, the bra line is still visible??
What have I done wrong?

The entire sequence of steps are just confusing and traumatizing... Could you tell us what bit of the tutorial is confusing to you, where do you got stuck? Also, we can be of a bigger help if you share you're package file so we can take a look at your textures too.

Appreciate it Bakie, Here is another attempt of what I tried to do, the skin detail in this photo is currently an overlay hence why it looks weird. But I tried experimenting and nothing still hasn't worked quite yet. I'll try uploading the textures too.

Hi Sorry if this is stupid question, this is my first time playing with this sort of stuff but my skin detail package changes the skin colour of my sim in game. I would like to use it on a darker skinned sim but when I apply it, it changes the skin tone to white. I used Paint.net as my 2D editor and edited on a transparent layer, saved as png. Is there a way I can fix this? Thank you so much! You have to make sure that the base template image is invisible and that you can only see the detail with a transparent background. If you save the file with the template skin showing that will be the whole skin detail, thats how people make new skin tones.

Hello, I am new to this website and program, but I figured this thread would be the best place to start. I am trying to create a burn scar on the left hand, but it is not showing up in CAS I used the SkinOverlay "Spots" option, and then I exported the PNG into Clip Studio Paint. I erased the texture all around the PNG and then I transferred the discolored skin texture over onto the original image. I exported the PNG and imported it back into S4S. Here is the result I got But the problem is that I can't seem to find it in CAS. I set it to be under Skin Overlay, but I have no idea where that option is located. I figured it would be in the skin detail section, but it is not. How do I make this edit show up in the CAS options? What other types of mods in S4S will allow me to make hand details? Do I create it as a tattoo file? Sorry if I messed up on posting this, as stated before I have never used this site, so I am still trying to figure how to work everything and where to poets on the proper threads. Thank you

I seem to be having this exact problem as hollytoto98. I made a few different scars that show up just fine in the S4S studio, but when I dropped the package file into my mods folder and started the game I couldn't find the detail. It didn't show up in the startup mods list, either. I thought it may have been a problem with skin details, but when I tried again with the detail saved as a blush makeup I was greeted with the same problem. I'm sure this is my fault, but I've tried everything and cannot get this to work. In 2016 I had been able to make skin details without this problem, so I've got no idea what I'm messing up on now. I'd really appreciate the help! Thanks.
