Hello, I have the files (meshes and textures) thanks for the help of Thelostrune and DarkFlare69 from gbatemp.net! All you need is to convert. I've been planning to convert some AC: NL to Sims 4 because of the great content. Here is what I'm talking about: Gorgeous Series Egg Series Mermaid Series Rococo Series Classical Series Regal Series I have thought of this conversion since playing The Sims 3. I did found out that darkdatatrc have also done some conversion modthesims.info/member.php?u=8529162 He/she was also first in doing so. I don't want to ask him/her to do the conversions since that would be not nice, of course. So I decided to convert these things myself. The problem is, I'm just a beginner in using blender and there are also lots of files to convert. I also have to find where these files are located. If possible if you could lend a hand on some converting that would be great. Even just a single object would be very helpful! Giving me tips would be nice too ^^ Thank you for your time! You can also explore other AC: NL items on the web. Check it out!

Hey there! As someone who's done a bit of converting from video games to the Sims 4, I thought I'd address a few things that you might not realize since you're new to converting: 1) You need to make sure the file types are ones that are compatible with Blender and The Sims 4. It's not really as easy as plopping in one sort of object and it working. There are lots of different file types and some might not be compatible. The easiest objects to work with are .obj files but .dae files can also be converted. If the files come in other formats, they may or may not work with Blender, thus making the whole process even more complicated. 2) You need to be careful when converting from video games to The Sims 4. Sometimes the files are quite large and have a high number of polys/verts in comparison to Sims 4 items. You can decimate the video game mesh a bit and remove double vertices, but you might end up with a really high poly object which isn't really ideal for TS4. So when you first import these video game meshes into blender, you need to take note of the counts and see if they can be brought down to a reasonable number (if they aren't already low poly. From the look of the screenshots, they could be, but I thought I'd mention it just in case). 3) This one is just my personal opinion, but I don't think all these objects would really be suitable in TS4. Some of them look very 2-D and flat, especially the beds. I think the couches and tables might look nice, but some of the objects, I think, would just stick out like a sore thumb in comparison to the rest of the game and even other CC objects. But that's just my personal opinion Also, AFIAK, you can't really convert furniture objects like beds and still use TS4 animations (like Sims getting in and out of bed). Or if you can, it's just way above my skill level, and probably really complicated. You could convert the bed frame (if you're able to separate it) and use that, but that's another process...not a hard one, but one I won't go into detail about at the moment. ALL that being said, I would be willing to help you convert some of the items! I think it could be a cute little set, but it depends on the above things (if the file types are easy to work with in Blender, if the meshes are good quality and not too high poly, etc.)

Thank you very much for your help and time! ^^ 1) Actually I can open these files in blender. The only problem is that I can't make it work because I'm quite new with blender ^^ I've had experience making models in Studio Max 3D like planes, face characters, hands, etc. 2) The poly is quite low. I need to make it look "straighter" but I don't know where's the option. Here's an example: (From the vanity picture here, it doesn't look like it would be flat ) 3) Well we can just check the mesh before we can make anything Also, there are also a lot of other files other than above. A lot of good decorative items. I can give you the files and you can check it out. You will need EveryFileExplorer to view and convert the files to .dae Once again, thank you! ^^

Hey there Okay, sounds good! You can send me a zip or .rar to the files in a private message, if you'd like! I'd say if you have experience making meshes you'll probably pick up Blender fast- it's pretty easy to work with once you get the hang of it! I think I know what you mean by straighter, and it's just a matter of rotating the mesh a bit. You can do that by selecting all- Press A- then G to move the mesh, then R to rotate. Then you can select which axis you want to rotate along to straighten it out. Can't tell much from the picture, but maybe along X or Y. After hitting R, then hit X (or Y) and you can either use the mouse or arrow keys to slowly rotate it until it's straight (the arrow keys are better than the mouse if you need to do small, single rotations). Anyway, yeah, I'm definitely open to collaborating on it :D

Thank you! ^^ There's so many files, I'll share you the files you selected instead ^^' There's 1271 items DX (according from the site) Choose the files you want here: animalcrossingnl.jimdo.com/furniture-english/Save your checklist, copy the Session Code from the bottom of the page and send it to me. I'll try to locate the files from your checklist. (The file names are quite hard to read) For some reason the site closes down (since they have a new website), you can go here: animalcrossingnl.mooo.com/ and share me your User ID so I can see the checklist. Btw, some items have animations X) Like the ceiling fan, washing machine, etc. Pretty cool! ^^

Wow, it is a lot, haha! I'll send you a PM and we can chat there from now on instead. BTW, I have NO idea how to port custom animations to The Sims 4...it's quite complicated and so far the only animated CC we have is Andrew's clock, so I don't think the animated ceiling fan and washing machine will be a possibility. But they can work as decor

I'd be interested in helping out, too (especially if it's a lot for britt to do by themselves!) but I'm not a blender expert at all. But if you can/want feel free to send me a chair or something to see what I can do!
