Hi eronoel, Studio's slot editor is supposed to be syncing the slot to the rig automatically when you add a slot or change the height of a slot. In the case of this table it looks like, for some reason, it didn't do that properly. You can use the rigsync feature as MisterS said or you can just add a zero to the end of any number in an x,y, or z field and then save to make Studio sync up the slot resource.
I'm interested to know your workflow that lead to this unwanted result though. If we can understand where Studio is failing to pick up on what it should be doing the issue can be fixed so that in the future you won't run into this again.

Sorry for the late response, I just now got to test it in game and doing what MisterS suggested did the trick! Hurrah! Thank you MisterS. orangemittensMy work flow was kind of like first I made a regular height end table but then I decided it was too tall. To save myself some work (with all the settings, normals, etc), I cloned my previous table to make the short table and then just went in blender and imported the new mesh that I had shortened. After that I think I just took all the slots that were on the previous table (since I had cloned it) and changed the new z axis numbers (through transform).

I would like to know how you's are doing do it, Im making a kitchen set and so far with the slots I have copied all the bench ones down to a lower shelf no issues, and I have added slots to the wall cabinets by importing the rig and slot from a coffee table and moving them up, I have not had an issue with either.

im copying the original slots using the slot editor and moving them using transform , previous versions of S4S worked with this method

Just to see if we are on the same page here, this is how I did it yesterday when I did this The counter only had the slots on the top, I right click and shift all the the slots and hit copy, so if there is 1 - 20 there will now be 21 - 40 underneath. ie deco_med_1 will become deco_med_11 etc etc. I then just get the height position from blender and change the Z axis and it drops down.

Yea that's what I do , previous versions of s4s worked with this method . Maybe it's just being silly

Hi kiwisims4, I've taken a look at the .package you posted and there is definitely something unexpected going on. The slot resource not only does not contain the slots you added, but the slots themselves are not in the correct order indicating that Studio isn't really recognizing these slots at all. Above, you mentioned that you had renumbered the rig. At what point did you do this and what were the steps you took to do that? Could you describe step-by-step the exact things you did prior to ending up with this unwanted result? What would be even better is if you had time to make a save of the item before any changes are made using Studio's slot editor (so any changes you make in the Warehouse prior to starting are present), a save while you're working on it, and a save at the point where you first recognize there is a problem. Comparing those saves would be helpful. The problem I'm having, both with your item and with eronoel's, is that I have added gazillions of slots to many items using this slot editor and I've never had an issue like the ones posted in this thread. To me, this indicates that there could be a difference in workflow that Studio is not prepared to handle yet. If I know what that workflow entails Studio can be updated to understand it and this is the desired outcome...that Studio can reliably add slots via any reasonable workflow. It's very difficult to arrive at that point without knowing what steps lead up to Studio failing though. In the meantime, the fix for the item you posted is very easy. Open the item and click the Rig/Slot tab. Select one of the container slots (it doesn't matter which), put your mouse in any of the transform fields (x,y, or z), and add a 0 to the end of the number there. Put your mouse anywhere that is outside that field and click to move the cursor out of the field where you just added a zero, and click the Save button. You will see your slot canisters show up the second you click out, and when you look in the Warehouse your slots will be there and they will be in the correct order: Adding the zero fools Studio into thinking a change has been made to the rig and it goes through the entire rig/slot combo while updating for that change. In the process, it fixes the issue that the rig/slot combo in this .package has.

As soon as i read this thread i had to add a slot on an item. And i was experiencing the same issue. the solution works perfectly Also, you could see that the slots aren't "saving" by going into the warehouse / slots / containerslots. That shows empty until the fix above. In case you're not sure if it's saving or not. That's it, thanks! edit: mine was a clean clone, nothing else touched. Cloned a plant, imported mesh, and followed steps to add slot.
