Mann o Mann!! felixandre so very impressed with your work. Forgive me if this has been asked before, have you taken reference photos/have access to architectural plans for this beautiful castle? And may I ask if it has a special meaning for you or your family? I love the amber walls, my German family really values the quasi-magical properties of amber. I wish you much luck and sustained motivation/concentration/resources to complete this masterpiece.  |

Thanks a lot!!!Hey believe&become, to the castle I have a quite 'intense relationship as I live near by. Its so magical as it looks so different from all facades. I dont really have plans, it is a lot of guessing and a good feeling for proportion, so I have a grid wallpaper that I use ingame to determine how big everything needs to be. For the amber chamber it was really hard to find not just reference pictures but also finding pictures from wchich i can use actual elements.It was important so that is doesnt look to much like a photografie ingame. Mostly im making elements myself, that have a bit of a comic look that I can use as overlays, so they are not to alian with other sims stuff. I can show you my workfile and my reference pictures for the amber room.  |

Funny, i used the same pics for an Amber Texture a few years back for a Sims2 Floor, (Amber is a nice Fiery' Color.);....made a Gold Floor a few months back for Sims4, never got around to Uploading it. Rock On with the Castle!

Felixandre, once more a big THANK YOU for your new fantastic pics.
I am not sure if this could be of any help for you: Many years ago I worked on the Amber Room for a palace in Sims 2. At the same time Komosims released a whole set "Amber" with floor, wall and ceiling tiles. They looked amazing ingame.

I didn't convert it to Sims 4, but I am ready to do it if you are interested. Just tell me. This conversion would be easy thanks to S4S ...By the way the upload includes all images (256x512 or 256x256) and they are ready for conversion.

Thank you for your comments!!!! Hey mehrlicht thank you for the link, it looks good. I just love this room I finished my amber room now and I uploaded it to my creator studio. I also added a chair that I made which I used a lot in my castle. |

This is incredible, Well done ! And you're very good at texturing ! Most of the time this kind of build set textures are too realistic but yours have beautiful finishes, everything looks clean and fits perfectly with the game's content.

Hello, once again thank you for the amazing comments! I have some bad news. I was doing all the meshing and sims playing on my laptop that got pretty hot all the time. That destroyed my gpu. I could save all my 3models but the castles are gone and I need a new computer. It's a bit unfortunate. I have a lot of pictures of my builds I will rebuild them when I have a new machine, so I'm taking a little break for now :(

Oh! It is so sad. I share what you feel. So much work and such a great job, it is awful. Dear Felixandre, take a good break, as long as you need. Then you'll see: Your enthusiasm will be back and you'll rebuild everything you have lost. Very good new is that you still have your models and pictures of your buildings. Meanwhile we'll miss you, but we enjoy in advance your future creations. I look forward to hearing from you |

Oh that's really unfortunately... I know the feeling really well. Just so you feel better, my laptop's hard drive just got destroyed by a neodymium magnet I was silly enoght to drop it on.  . So yes, this things happen lol, and makes us really mad (at least it did to me lol), but I wish you the best in getting a new computer (or gpu) and finding again the inspiration, you do make such amazing content! |
