What a poor little ugly person to do when it textures the inside of the cap. I tried Mesh > Normals > Flip Normals but didn't work.
Edit: I flipped normals again(putting those neon-ish blue lines upside down) and though blender showed no change, I imported .blender to my .package anyway. To my surprise, in S4S grid and in-game it shows outside of the cap textured. Am I doing it right then? I feel much less ugly now.

Hi misterb, welcome to Studio forums. Since you've made an item that is not a top you need to follow the last part of the tutorial which MisterS has titled "Extra step you will have to do on anything except a top." That should take care of the problem.

Please help! I am trying to do this, and am quite successful at the main thing. I am just having one small issue... When I go to upload the package to The Sims Resource, it tells me they cant upload it because it says they can still see the original UV. So, my question is how can I also shorten the UV map.

I guess I'm not sure what they mean by that. The UV map is shortened when you remove the vertices of the skirt.

I know this thread is old but I have a problem I can't solve all by myself. In Blender everything looks right but when I import mesh into Studio half of the sleeve is gone. D: That missing part is on separate "layer" in Blender. I checked UV mapping and everything seems to be alright. I really have no idea what happend. ;;

Hi betabius, welcome to Studio forums. To move it back into the same layer as everything else go to the layer its in, select it, click the m key on your keyboard, and when the popup box shows up select the first layer (which is where all the other meshes should be). Click the OK button to initiate the move and close the popup. This should move the part back into the right layer.

Thank you but I'm afraid this is not a reason. D: Whole mesh is on the first layer and half od the sleeve is still gone. I don't know this is gonna help or not but... S4studio_mesh_1 is where a missing part is.
