Hello, I have some accessories in my game that will disappear with certain tops. I was wondering if there is a way to force them to stay visible?

Hi Lina, could you give an example of which accessories disappear for you in combination with which tops, please? Some necklaces and bracelets will for example become hidden by certain tops because they actually end up inside the mesh of the top. This is most obvious in those cases where for example a jewel on a necklace still peeks out from below the top while the rest of the necklace remains hidden. Is that what you mean by "disappear" ?

anska For example, I have a large necklace that is set high enough out to lay on top of the top, but the game makes it looks like the item was uneqipped even though it is still equipped. I have also had this happen with a tail I have (that would stick outside of any clothing mesh I have) where the tail disappears when using certain tops.

Lina if you give me a link to one of your disappearing necklaces (or a description of a basegame one) I'll give it a look if I am back at a Sim-friendly computer.

Alrighty, here is the top I'm using: tamamaro.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-314.html (I'm using the male version of the top) And the necklace: karzalee.tumblr.com/post/145007907533/layer-necklace-star-for-malets4-teen-elderAlso here are a couple reference images: I feel like the necklace sticks out enough that at least some part of it should be visible, but there isn't as far as I can tell. Also, here is the tail: The tail is still technically equipped, if I unequip the top it will re-appear, the same thing happens with this necklace. I figure there are some accessories that are set to go invisible with a certain type of top, but I'm unsure which one it would be or what causes the issue.

I poked around the files a bit this evening but I haven't found anything useful yet. I do assume too, that either the accesoire or the tops do have some sort of number-code somewhere which determines if accessoires will be shown or not but I haven't found any noteable differences between a top which makes things disappear and one that doesn't. :( I'll poke some more, because now I've become curious as well, but maybe someone else has a better idea.

I believe there is a problem not with necklace but with the top itself. There is a resource Region Map (in clothes) which can be edited. If it has "chest" component then this mesh won't work with neckalces. In order to make it work you would need to change chest to base 1 and test it in the game. Check this thread, the discussion in it was mainly in Russian but solution is in English. sims4studio.com/thread/5256/achieve-dress-worn-necklace-solvedUPD. I didn't see that you provided links for the items. As I said before you need to change the number in Region Map to bring the item on the top of another. Both of these items have some parts assigned to the chest region map, this means that the item with higher number will be on the top of another. I changed the numbers and checked items in CAS. I actually didn't try to change only necklace numbers, this might work as well. This is the sweater. I changed only number from 400 to 350 to bring it down and left Region Type as Chest. This is the necklace. I changed numbers for both resources from 350 to 400 to bring them up. If you editing entries don't forget to press small "save" button in the right bottom corner. If you switch numbers and close this window your result won't be saved. Result.

anska Thank you for all of your help thus far and for taking the time to try and figure it out. Feyona That did the trick! The necklace works now and the kids top has a high layer setting on the left wrist (which is what slot the tail is). I edited both and they now work great. Thank you so much!
