Hi, your link unfortunately redirects to this thread here and not to the tableclothes. =)

Hello again, I just took a look at the packages and I think something is a little off with the intersection flags in the footprint. Simply importing a new footprint from another rug solves the issue though and you can afterwards place the tablecloths without moveobjectson (I could place them without a problem with mmo before though). To import a footprint create a new mesh or recolour of any carpet, in the warehouse tab select footprint, click export, open your tablecloth again, in the warehouse search again for the footprint and import the file you previously exported. It might afterwards be beneficial to reajust the footprint size depending on which rug you choose. I hope this works for you too.

@wj, rug, dear, not tablecloth. Rugs are specifically set so they are largly ignored by sims routing or object placement. So the game won't be bothered by the cloth intersecting other objects (e.g. the table) and sims won't be hindered in actually using the table. You can of course edit the numbers in the footprint manually but just importing one from a rug seems easiest in my eyes. I took the kindermade rug and resized it in Studio with the height tool turned off. Yes, I noticed the rather odd transparency too, though at the time didn't I wasn't sure if it was intended or not. You can edit it out again in the warehouse tab, OrangeMittens wrote a tutorial about how to add transparency, I assume getting rid of it again is sort of the reversed process.

I am at a bit of a loss too, because for me the cloth is working once I replace the footprint. Additionally, I never had such problems with it as the ones you described in the begining, I could not place the cloth without moo, but that was it. Do you by any chance have other objects from the same creator with which your object might conflict or anything along those lines?

I have never used a rug as a clone since I heard that they can cause problems sometimes for unknown reasons. I clone my tablecloths from a regular decorative item and then used this tutorial to make it act like a rug (ie ignored by sims). Perhaps cloning it as a non-rug decoration would fix it?

So, I think I have got it now. I didn't see the actual wiredness of the item previously, because I tested it on my test-lot, which was rather empty at the time. When I cluttered it with more tables, I saw what you meant. But I think, the problem of the tablecloth might be caused - as eronoel mentioned - by that it had originally been cloned from a rug. I went on to create two new items, one cloned from a rug, the other cloned from a shadowless decorative item, imported the mesh into both of them and rugified the footprint of the decorative item. The rug-clone showed exactly the same wierd issues the original tablecloth has while the deco-item seems to behave normally and fits on all the tables I currently have on my testlot (and on my test-restaurant-lot too). Long story cut short: reimporting your mesh into another object, adjusting the footprint and possibly adding an alphamap for the lace to appear should solve the issue. Edit: Does this cloth work for you? It's under clutter and has a hard to miss pink thumbnail with an icecream on it.

@wj Did you see the file I just linked you, in my last post? I only edited it in so it might have gone unnoticed.

You are welcome, I can fix the other one for you as well. I am just lazy by nature and wanted to know if one worked before modifying both. ... Also please make sure you have the one which does not have a terribly low Enviroment Score, I accidentally added the tuning ID into the wrong field at first, which resulted into sims becoming very miserable next to the tablecloth. ^^

Hey again, usually in the Warehouse under Object Definition > NegativeEnvironemtScore. I have just updated the zip though, it now contains both tablecloths and both should be working fine. At least I did not run into any issues during my testlunch at the Goths. You can of course change the thumbnail again by simply clearing it (I usually use the pink icecream when testing things, because it's easy to spot.) also the original tablecloths didn't have a bump or specular map, so I added OrangeMitten's blank ones. If you would like to have maps which suite your mesh better you will have to make some for the cloth.

Aww, thank you for the kind words, I am glad I could help. I get help from so many nice people here, that I am always glad when I get a chance to offer some assistance myself.
