When you delete cc thumbs, what happens? Does the game just generate a generic thumb? I hate getting rid of them but I have a lot of content and my game lags horribly at the loading screen and takes forever to load. There is nothing wrong with anything..I just have a ridiculous amount of CC lol Someone suggested getting rid of the CC thumbs to speed everything up a bit.

The game generates a thumb just like it does for all objects that come with the game. I find that removing the cc thumbs helps a bit with load time and satisfies my OCD to have everything look the same in catelog lol. Merging files can help too, there's options to do both in S4S under the tools menu. Hope this helps!

Awesome! I think I am going to do that with objects at least. Not with clothes though since I literally use the thumbs to identify everything. I am also going to go through and start merging sets instead of using sub folders. Thank you!

nords delete the CC thumbnails via Sims 4 Studio. I guess you would have to open up all of your CC individually to delete the thumbnails, which might be a pain for someone like me who literally has hundreds of CC items, but if you only have a few it wouldn't take long . Does anyone know how to batch delete thumbnails? If so, I'm sure a lot of people in this thread would appreciate it.

There's an option to delete all cc thumbs in Tools>Batch Fixes>General. This will delete all the cc thumbs from everything in your mods folder. I don't like to delete the the CAS cc thumbs because without them I can't find anything so I pull this folder out first, then run the fix, then put the folder back.

I'm not sure what is going on with my game but deleting the cc thumbs made load time longer. While it did fix the in game catalog lag all the loading screens and start-up time have doubled. I guess I need to start going through CC again.

How? ;( that only deletes thumbnails generated by the game, not the custom thumbnails that creators do to their objects. one you see the items in game, thumbnails will re generate on their own again.
