Well, this is great - but how do you rip it with the sliders if you're on an nVidia GPU? I don't just have a low spec laptop lying around to do this on, lol. Open your Nvidia Control Panel and, on the app-specific settings, set The Sims 4 (ts4_64.exe) to run on Intel HD. Don't have a setting for that on my desktop, lol. Only one card, and I don't think my processor has any settings for that. Wonder why Nvidia GPU's can't rip with sliders? Other games are fine for me.

I got it to rip on my laptop thankfully - I do most my stuff on my desktop so that was an.. experience, to say the least. DDRAW wrapper didn't work, but d3d9 wrapper did - it did rip with sliders! However it didn't rip in the A-Pose (t-pose, default pose) Any reasoning for this? I don't believe my desktop has integrated graphics. I just quickly put together a T Pose in cas mod for myself. I can share it for you

It don't work if you capture sims with 2-8 household, because causing fail for ripping sims.

I got it to rip with sliders! I'm very lucky to have had a laptop sitting around with an integrated card. As for the a-pose thing, even in a singular household, it still didn't rip in an A-Pose for rigging - I had to use a mod. I did import a household that had 3 and deleted the others, so maybe that wasn't right? Anyway, here it is! Still messing with textures, but I've had to do way worse to them for them to work; Something that really should be said though is when you import the .obj, sweet lord is it massive! it was a hassle to resize the whole thing, it was clipping in blender.

So, I got my guy working in the source engine! It's a test run, so the next ones are going to be different and better. Messing with the UV maps is a pain though, but splicing together diffuse textures is nothing new. I have to put custom touches on other textures anyway for source (HL2, gmod, portal, that engine)

Still mad I can't rip with sliders on my main desktop because it doesnt HAVE an integrated GPU, my intel xeon doesn't support integrated graphics. After I ripped, I exported everything in noesis (i think) and then uploaded it to download on my main pc, then imported it into blender. I DID NOT RIP ON AN NVIDIA GPU, I USED A LAPTOP WITH AN INTEGRATED INTEL GPUI'm still in the boat of trying to figure out how to rip with sliders on a normal graphics card :/

Weird question - but when I import some hair models, the verts and edges aren't fused together, so this makes rigging really hard - the mesh splits with some movements. If I remove doubles, some faces get removed, and the UV map gets near impossible to fix. Any way to fix this on hair that touches the shoulders? Different rip settings? I'm doing this in blender btw

I'd love to be able to rip some of these meshes from the studio :/ If it's custom content hair, download the .package, open s4studio, click on my projects and open the downloaded .package. Then go to meshes, and export the LOD0 mesh. If it's a maxis hair, then open s4studio, click create 3d mesh, find your hair, then make a new package and it will open. And again, go to meshes, and export the LOD0 mesh.
