Hello! I thought the outfit with the long kimono robe (that one Jesmender wears) from City Living was really neat, but I wanted to separate the robe and shirt into a top. I removed the jeans in the mesh as well as in the diffuse map. All went well; the mesh works fine as far as body types and Sim animation, but, there's one problem that has been nagging the living daylights out of me. The texture from the kimono is bleeding on the Sim's legs and on some bottoms when paired. Here's what I mean:More examples:Here is a shot of the newly edited mesh:Now, I did edit the UV map and DST to complement the new mesh top (used the jacket with the scarf from Cool Kitchen as my base). As far as the mesh, I removed the pants without any problem. There is a gap on the inside of the robe where the pants were, but since there is none on the back, I thought it'd be no problem. I'm not sure if the texture issues have something to do with the gap in the mesh or something totally different. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

hi! Those extra chunks of textures are overriding parts of the bottom that was previously hidden by the pants texture of the outfit. By converting this top of a full outfit into a standalone top, you'll have to edit those parts as well since they are taking the space of the bottoms. You'll have to move the uv and texture elsewhere. You can export any pair of ea pants and look what space the texture occupies and study how to fix your top. Here's how all the textures are composed. edit, as for the gap, there's simply anything meshed in there since there was no point for doing it since those parts would have been hidden by the pants.

Hello, sorry for the late reply! And thank you so much for responding! I took your advice and I think I found the problem area. It looks like the back side of the robe, in the same area where the pants used to be, bleeds on to the back of the legs trying to make up for that missing pant mesh. I tried moving that portion up above where the pants used to be, but then the texture map of the Sim's skin takes that space. Will tweaking the gap or the mesh it self fix the issue, and if so how can I do so? Thank you!

when you say "back side of the robe" are you talking about the hole? That is not fixed through uv since there's literally no mesh to map. You can try selecting each vertex of the mesh and move the row up. But you'll have to re do the weight and uv_1. But maybe the hole isn't visible anyway, have you tried it in game with various bottoms?

Yes, well, where the back side of the robe would be in the same vicinity of the front side where the gap is visible. As far as the hole, it's not visible in CAS or S4S. But I have tested the top with many bottoms. On some skirts, the texture of the inside of the robe will cover a large area of the skirt completely. As for pants, the texture kinda spread a bit on the outer thighs and also a small little line of the texture on the side of the left leg. The texture also appears on some cuffed pants as well as pockets of cargo pants. Thank you so much for your help and the links to some tuts. I will report back and let you know how it goes.
