hi! If you were to share some pictures of the before / after it would help a lot. Whenever you resize a texture, it will loose quality and that just happens on every image editor since you're modifying the original resolution to another one.

Thank you,Ok this was the photo I wanted to resize(the resolution is high 2040x2342) and this is after resize,as you see,the quality has dropped so much and it looks bad in the game,it's so annoying and I searched every where about the problem but nothing! It's a pleasure if you could help me!

Try this.
Before resizing , convert it into smart object.
Right click on the layer of the image ---> Convert it into Smart Object
then resize the smart object using Free Transform tool.
I found it helpful. But there would be a bit of a compromise in image quality.
Note: Do your edit work on the image before you go to smart object. Else you have to raster it again will sure be a loss in quality.
hope that helps

Hi res textures never will look good if resized to much, you need to find a smaller source image.

Hi,I found out the solution and finally solved it and I thought it isn't bad to share it here too,I changed the image resolution in Image--->Image size from 72 to 300,And it worked and the resolution of the image didn't change. It works for very high res images too. also note that I found it in a website, not myself :D

@marveloussims great! Can you explain a little bit more, where exactly did you change DPI? I mean did you change DPI of the main texture?

Thank you Feyona ,Here's the screenshots,in this picture the resolution is set to 72(pixels\inch)and the image quality is low, but here the resolution is set to 300(pixels\inch) and as you see the image quality is the same as before and original one.It doesn't matter if you do this before resizing or after that,it always works. sorry but I'm not so professional at photoshop, but I did this and solved my problem. But there was a problem while I wanted to save the file as .dds, there was an error that was saying the image size should be multiple of four, like when you export the uv layout in blender, the image's size is compatible with S4S,but in this case wasn't. I hope this was useful and the problem which I mentioned can be solved.

i'm assuming you're doing an accessory? Then the resolution of cas items are 1024x2048. Buy/build 256x256,512x512,1024x1024.. all multiples of 4.
Thank you for the tip! i will try it out and see if it changes things!

Yes and thank you,for creating objects' texture I didn't have any problems but for making accessories yes,bc it had to be in 1024x2048 size, but without reducing the resolution of the image,I couldn't save the image in .dds format.
