Hi Guys. Rather than move on to the next tutorial. I wanted to practice more FrankenMeshing. What could possibly go wrong? Ive got a whole week of experience now! This was the plan. And THIS is the reality of what happened. I slapped on some color to to help me as I looked for rips, and flaps and such. (Plus flesh pants are creepy.) 1. I'm not sure why I'm missing the square from the upper arm. I thought that by using the jumper as the base, I would avoid manipulating the arms. Having no idea what those 4 mysterious squares in the arms actually do I thought it best to avoid them. So I was surprised when one of them vanished anyway. 2. Weird Puppet string effects. I think that I may have accidentally interacted with some of the vertices in her hand and failed to undo enough to fix it. Redoing the entire thing in the morning, but thought Id mention it here in case that wasn't the cause of it. 3. I'm thinking all the weird seam action in the crotch area is from wonky texture that was left over from the bottom of the romper. But it could also be from how I cut and mended the mesh. But I'm not sure. So I'm sharing my package and blend files. FrankenRomper Blender FileFrankenRomper Package Lastly. In Blender I don't seem to have a UV_0. Also the texture for the top and bottom don't appear together (pictures of what I see below). Is this normal? CiaB

Hey, I currently can't open your package because Studio gives me an error-message - but the weird effect in the crotch area looks like it was caused by the bumpmap of the romper - and possibly the spec. Did you edit those too? Also, adding to your list of imperfections, there seems to be something wrong with the lower hem of the trousers: The texture streches somewhat and has a weird dublication effect, especially in back-view (assuming you wish the lower parts of the pants to look like the sleeves). I am just adding this because the new romper otherwise looks very nice. =)
And I unfortunately can't help you with the rest, because I have absolutely no clue about creating cas items.
Edit: Patching Studio helped. Below your Diffuse in the studio tab of your package, there is a list of other maps (called: Shadow, Specular and Normal) you will have to edit those like you edited the diffuse to make the weird shadows go away. Though I assume that the way you added the trouser-legs to the romper in the diffuse adds some odd shadows as well.
Edit 2: Also having your complete mesh once on cut 7 and then once more in separated portions on the other cuts does somehow not seem quite right either.

I finally got it to work! (thanks to all who so graciously answered my endless barrage of questions!) The distortion was caused by cut layer (and Cia) confusion. Man did I bite off more than I thought at a glance. Im rubbish at recoloring lol But it didnt explode. Im still a bit fuzzy on removing doubles vertices. Ive found out the hard way that doing so haphazardly causes very bad things to happen. (Mesh went KABOOM) Is that something that I only have to do when I, for instance, append one top directly over another? When exactly should I delete doubles?
