Hi me again, i have another question. I created a bed for the first time the other day and tested it out in my game. I assume you have to change some settings to make sure only the sheets move when a sim goes to sleep in the bed or for woohoo animations..? How is this done?
For now, the mattress, sheets and pillows are moving instead of just the sheets. How to fix this? Thanks in advanced!

Check THIS thread. I explain a little about Beds to Giannik. But for the most part. You can't create a new mesh for the mattress part...

Yes! Mostly only the frame. I would say that the pillows and the blanket are better done separately. You can clone a decorative item and remove it's footprint. I do that with the pillows and blankets for my beds since the person who use it can deside wether to use it or take it off by their needs. Also, you garantee there's no routing issue. Edit: For example check THIS. The blanket and the pillows are a different item, separed from the bed.

I was thinking about it since i also made pillows that are against the headboard, but then i also didnt want to create 3 different meshes for 1 item.. It kind of always disturbs me when i download CC from others :p Anyway.. i really like the headboard here, truly beautiful!

I bump up against a problem. I imported the mattress from EA. I did remove the pillows and blanket, cause i wanted to use my own. I put my blanket, pillow and EA's mattress together with cut number 1, but when i select them all to get the UV, the mattress from EA isnt showing in the uV together with my pillows and blanket. The mattress does show up when its single selected and not together with my pillows and blanket in 1 group.. why is that?

This is probably because your uv maps are named differently. When you join meshes you need to make sure the uvs are named the same. The EA mattress should have a uv_0 and so your other parts should have this as Uv name.
However, I recommend you not to do this. If you remove the pillos and blanket from EA so will the weights and won't work correctly with the animations. The mattress is a complex item and has a complex weight paint. I don't think it's easy to weight your own mattres and pillows to work with it. I've never done it and I don't know of anyone who has.

Hm so everyone has to use EA's pillows and blanket? Or at least hide under their own mesh? Unless they have somehow managed to fix this weight paint thing? Then i guess i will have to separately mesh my blanket and pillow anyway.. bummer. Thanks for the fast responde btw

Yes that's right. You need to use the blanket and the pillow from EA. You can hide it afterwards by placing decorative pillows . This is the easy way, again, i don't know of anyone doing the bed weights from scratch... but I guess if you know how to do it you could... I don't recommend it.

I will just keep the pillows from EA i guess and hide them under my own mesh. Now i understand why these things always have separate meshes haha
