Anyway, I guess there have already been other users who have asked this question and I apologize maybe if I'm disturbing. instead I can't create a mesh for a dress (so that also includes the legs)

That is a lot of UVs to fit in a small space! But, there is a trick! UV's of the nude top/bottom/body that are covered by the mesh can be deleted, and then the empty space where they were is open for the UV's of the clothing mesh. This also helps with clipping- you wont have weird skin polys popping out of your mesh when you give your sims big boobs or make them overweight in CAS. Click around in the UV Editor panel at the UV's of the nude base and set out lines where the mesh is initially covered. Then fill in your "outline" by selecting all the faces inside of it. Mine looked like this:
ok so when i reach the above i am totally lost on how to do this part. can you help me?

(image) blend filepackage fileThe weights look okay-ish, but there could be some problematic weight somewhere. Did you transfer weights with auto normalize checked? What I can say for sure is your mesh doesn't have a uv_1 transferred. P.s If you have any more issues please make a thread in the creator help section so more people can see it easier to help etc

hi i need help, im seriously stuck at the part where you select and delete the unneeded mesh that will be covered up with the cloth. I'm making pants so I selected everything ( the whole bottom) to be deleted but when I do that the bottom and my pants are deleted, all the uvs are deleted even the ones I did not select. i was thinking that it was because they are joined but I'm not sure since I'm new to this. If anyone could please help me as soon as they could because I've tried who knows how many times to get this to work and I'm getting really frustrated

I know this tutorial is old but i'm really hoping someone can help me. I'm currently on the step that says
"Now go back to object mode on your MD mesh. Right click the nude top/bottom/body so that both the MD mesh and the nude are selected, and then using the same steps as the appended mesh, join these two together. Go back into edit mode and you'll see something like this:"
Whenever I do this it says no mesh joined, and when I can join it, it doesnt look like the picture shown within the steps. Would someone be able to help me?

ksimmer1 You have to make sure your holding the shift key in between selecting the meshes and they will both highlight in orange when they are both selected and then you go to the left hand side under the tools tab, then select the edit tab and select "join"..

Im stuck at the point where I need to delete the body parts I dont need.. So In UV viewer I select the parts I dont need, but in 3D viewer everything is selected. When I unselect everything in 3D viewer, in UV viewer it all disappears. If I try the delete/faces option, it deletes all. Its getting on my nerves, and I dont know how to fix this. I'm having this same issue, I don't know why the avatar in 3D viewer is all selected. I'm following the instructions to the letter and everything keeps disappearing

You can see the nude blend and the example but when I have my design on it, it doesn't appear

Hi, I am a little new to this, I'm not sure why my mesh looks like this and how do I fix it? imgur.com/a/v5DdSZnI'm having a similar issue, I found that in blender my MD mesh doesn't cover the sim's back??? In MD I had it sewn together so it should be a complete shirt but I'm not sure why it's doing this. Here's mine in blender: imgur.com/a/LdHu63s
