This problem is most likely caused because an unknown bug with Harmony and version 2.78 of Blender. I see you already tried to go back to 2.70, but did you delete completely the 2.78 version? Can you check in the settings of Studio which is the Blender path you have assigned? If you have 2.78, make sure to navigate and find the blender.exe of the version 2.70.

Having the same problem, and I will try to revert back to 2.70 tomorrow. Will post update then. Thanks Mathcope!

Update: Found a 2.70 blender, uninstalled 2.78, installed 2.70, updated file path, and voilà! It works! Thanks!

Same problem here; Sims4Studio generates Blender files without meshes. I tried going back to Blender 2.72 (which doesn't work well with my graphics drivers), but I got the popup saying that Sims4Studio requires I use Blender 2.78. However, it obviously doesn't work with Blender 2.78. If the two are not compatible, then why does it prevent me from using something that might actually work? Can I only use 2.70?

joel773 You should have only installed on your computer the 2.70 version, and download the ZIP version from the 2.78 (to run through exe) if you need any of their features.

Thank you for the fast reply; it works as it should now. I'm not sure where I got the idea to use 2.72 instead of 2.70, but I'm glad that you cleared that up for me!

Thank you for explaining it in detail Mathcope. I will try this later as I'm having the same problem.

I know it's a bit late to reply to this thread but I did exactly that, however, my exported meshes from s4s keep opening in Blender 2.70 version. When I open 2.78 and import/open my blender exports, a blender crashes. Is there any way to solve this?

leah2901 it's a problem on Blender's end. If you need to use version for weight transfer, better use 2.76.

I re downloaded 2.76 and 2.70 but it still doesn't seem to work. What specific steps must I do in the download process and settings for it to work? Is it possible for you to explain how you did it thouroughly?

When you say it doesn't seem to work, what do you mean? What problem occurs? Once you have the .blend exported from Studio, if you want to use Blender 2.76, just open Blender 2.76 and open the .blend from there.

When I open Blender 2.76, my blender fie that I just exported won't open. Despite me downloading several versions of Blender and uninstalling several times, whenever I try to open a blender file it won't open. It only opens in Blender 2.70 and won't work for the other versions. I know it's not an issue wth my computer because it's fairly new so I don't know what to do at this point. Could you perhaps tell me what steps you took from the downloading process and the settings process? Also, thank you for replying.

leah2901 To my knowledge, you can't have multiple versions installed at once. Either you have 2.70 installed, and have zip versions for the other version that don't require installation. What exactly is the error that 2.76 prompts you?

What exactly is the error that 2.76 prompts you? I have 2.70 installed and open 2.76 as a zip file. The error is that when I open 2.76 via zip file, it works fine. Then when I go to open a Blend file, Blender exits out.
