I do not suggest using weight transfer for objects. That tutorial was designed for clothing items that have little deviation from the EA item they are borrowing weight from, have a lot of vertices, and are organic shapes. This allows for some amount of weight blending as it were. Objects are not like this. In the case of objects, the weighting is so simple that there is no need to transfer from some other item. There is a thread HERE going over how to assign weights to an object. There's a mini tut on the second page of posts.

I added the vertex's to my group but get a mesh error when I import my mesh to S4S when I try add all 3 to one group, so I removed the one and it's working in game BUT my UV is messed up. It seems to have added the S4S exported meshes oven door to my UV.
I found an awesome tut from Daeron that explains in detail how to assign vertex's to a group and do the weights, very much like what you explained Orangmittens. Can I post a link here to the tut in case anyone else would like to use it?
I hope my images appear on here lol. The oven is working great now, from te pic I see I just have to raise my oven rack a bit BUT I need to now sort out that UV problem.
EDIT: I also see now in my pic that the S3 oven door does not open. Can I delete those vertexs off my mesh or will it not work?
Thank you so much to everyone that's tried to help, much appreciated.
The door does not look like it is mapped correctly. Also compare yours to the original exported mesh. Share the updated .blend/.package so we can look at it. Mesh group 0 is most likely the shadow plane so it doesn't need any bone assignment.

I've noticed on most of them that group 0 is normally the shadow but on this conversion group 0 is the actual stove. I will share my package soon as I'm on my laptop for you to have a look. Thank u brujah
Now I am confused. When I opened the converted mesh up in blender it now has 4 groups yet when I was working on it it only had 3. I don't see anything wrong on my uv image, everything lines up but the texture does not show up right when I import it to Studio. Can not understand why the Studio meshes oven door has attached itself to my sims 3 stove, covering my door. Hope I am making sense.
