Hey, sorry I'm a total newbie to cc...I followed this tutorial and lo and behold!!! The eye works...except the eye colour overrides all other eye colours for men and makes that the only available one...and made whatever sim that has the colour mannequin white. I tried searching this issue up but I couldn't find anything, does anyone have any advice?
Thank you.

For me when I imported the new texture, the whole model turned white but the eyes which were the new eye color. I don't know how to fix this because I exported using a transparent background and it just didn't work.

Hi babooraz, if the model turned white, it means that your image is lacking an alpha. What 2D editor are you using?

I'm having so much trouble with this. I've been trying to create some vampire eyes and they won't show. How can I get more than one eye colour to show in CAS and have them all in the same package? This seems so simple, just like any other recolour, and yet it's just not working for me.

I followed the steps of the tutorial correctly (I already made non-defaults a few times), but for what ever reason the non-defaults don't show up anymore. The color swatches are still there, but the texture won't show up. I just get the default texture.

Hi cripple, I have successfully made custom cat eyes using Studio's add swatch feature. Can you tell me what is happening when you try to make one? Also, if you post your .package I can take a look at it.

I saved my eyes as a CAS standalone by accident, is there a way I could change it in order to make non-defaults?

orangemittens is there a way to change the eyes from a cas standalone to a cas part swatch? I was just testing out the program and made these eyes I like but I saved them as a cas standalone. Also, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you! I just wasn't sure if you saw my first post.

I have followed the tutorial exactly, and my custom eyes show up in Sims 4 Studio exactly the way I made them. But everytime I go in game, it says the mod is installed, but it doesn't give me the option to use any of my custom eyes.

Hello, you say you followed the tutorial to the letter? Could you show me images of your process? I do not know if it is appropriate to answer you in this thread
for those who want to make their eyes not default you just have to put it in facepaint that is to say you select your face paint, save it as .package you select a base eyes, cas standalone the export you go back to face paint (you have it in my projects) now you import the base eyes ready, now you just have to edit them

(My issue was importing PNG not DDS, like the other projects allowed) However, changing the color isn't what I was looking for. I wanted my eyes to look like this in game. It looks great in Sims 4 Studio, but won't show up anywhere in game. I was able to fully edit multiple different eye styles, but they don't show up in game.

Hello, Thank you so much making these tutorials, or I would be even more lost.... I fallow your eye tutorials, they showed up in game... And they seem to override the game eye colour panel... Is there a way to add new colour to the list, instead overriding current eye colours? I did use add cas part swatch.. I'm very beginner, And no idea I'M what I'm doing.... Thank you for any help!

Make sure you follow this step closely: " 9. Click on the swatch thumbnail and select a color for your new swatch thumbnail. Note: the eye system used in Sims 4 does not allow custom catalog thumbnails for eye recolors." This tutorial explains how to create a recolor that doesn't override an already existing color swatch. What could be happening is that you didn't choose a custom color swatch for your eye. If you don't the game will override the one that you cloned.

Mathcope That worked! I feel stupid now.... I thought picking swatching thumbnails colour, didn't matter.... So how do creators make sure they didn't use the same colour thumbnail?
