Hi everybody,
I was wondering if there is a way to unmerge a package file? For example: I downloaded a shirt which has two colors (green and red). I don't want to have the red one, but because the two shirts are in one package file I can't delete the red one without deleting the green one too. So I want to ask if there is a way I can split up the package file und delete the files for the red one and keep the files for the green one? Thank you!

You can use Sims 4 Studio to create recolor of that object, then delete the unwanted swatch. Save your new package and use that in game instead of the original.

Thanks for your reply! I know that this works for recoloring objects like furniture. But when you recolor custom content clothes in Sims 4 Studio the package file is shown as single files. Thus there is only one swatch you can recolor. I tried open one of the single files in Sims 4 Studio and save it without recoloring so that I can separate it from the rest of the package but it doesn't work. The clothing shows up in game as lack.

This is a good question. Paika's answer may work for yanii's situation, but is it possible to undo a merged package?

My question is solved! Thanks to orangemittens who explained to me how to create a recolor of a custom content which includes the mesh! Thanks again!

Hey, I'm sorry to pop this thread, I actually want to delete a packaged file from a merged package, how do I do that without recoloring or anything. I really want to delete that one package. Thanks.

jmacsims You can use the "My CC" button in Studio. If your merged .package is in your mods folder it will be displayed there. You can remove other .packages into the merged one. All .packages on it should be displayed in a list when you click on the main one.

Studio is not yet able to delete a single .package from a merged.package. This feature is on the list of things to add to Studio.
