Being pretty new to creating custom content, I got it into my head to try and add a single white streak to an existing hairstyle. So I cloned a mesh from Spa Day, exported the texture as .dds, edited it in Gimp and imported it again. It took me some trial and error, but I found one spot in the texture that was only used for one part of the hair. As you see, it worked in Sims 4 Studio (I'm using version 3.0.0.7). I placed it in the game, and in CAS, it behaved fine. But when it came to actually playing in Live Mode, the hair acted strange. (The actual edited texture showed through this on zooming in: ) I'm playing on the highest graphics settings, with uncompressed sim textures; laptop mode is not enabled. I ran the issue past a more experienced modder, who couldn't see anything wrong with the textures. Can anybody tell me what I did wrong? I can provide .package and .dds files if necessary.

This is more likely a mip map issue. Are you using .dds or .png as your input image? If you use .dds make sure that MIPMAPS are ticked in the export settings in your 2d edit.
If you use .png that is not necessary and mipmaps will be generated automatically.

Thanks! I did indeed use .dds and forgot the mipmaps. It's working now!
