Personal Mesh issue

Hi there, I had combined two meshes, to make a hair for personal use, it works no problems but suffers a major transparancy issue, Now before I am directed to a certain tutorial although helpful for those who use those programs . I found did not actually help me in the slightest. what I would like is someone to explain to me how to fix what you see here in blender only screen shots are a bonus and greatly appreciated thank you here is a picture of my current dilemma.... If only I could post it. Let  me know if you can see this because I can't
