hi! You're missing to import the emission. Is there anything else you're having issues with?3 i cloned the alien outfit using the 3dmesh option and it has its emission texture. Export it and take a look at it. Here's the tutorial. btw, it's coming along super cute!

BOOOOO :'( I'm only on the first steps and there's already an issue. I open the package, click warehouse tab, find the RLE 2 Image file and select it press add, put in DST image resource and change the instance number....and nothing happens. Is it there and I'm just not seeing it?

I tried pressing duplicate and nothing happened either
(oh and the download links for the blank emission maps don't work. i'm guessing they're just empty PNGs at stated size?)

i don't have a mac so i can't help you out with this version. Can you send me a screen of how the texture tab looks? (outside the warehouse, just when you open the package)

Hi misstex89 , the issue in the Warehouse is a bug that will be fixed in the next mac version of Studio (adding or duplicating resources works but it won't show until you have saved and re-opened the package), but you shouldn't need to use the Warehouse for this. Just like the screenshot that inabadromance showed in the Windows version, the Mac version can add an emission map on the Studio tab.

Ok, I almost have it!!!! it's glowing, but now it's flashing...which I know has to do with value and alpha mask...the only thing is when I try to make it look like the picture above, the whole necklace flashes, which is not what I want. I just want a soft steady glow. Do I need to make it dark grey? simfileshare.net/download/177608/...I made it dark grey and it's still flashing. I'm a little confused...

I know, that's what i've been looking at but now no matter what alpha value I put in it still flashes. When I make it look like the picture above the whole necklace flashes, when I have pure black nothing happens.
I just want a solid, steady glow.
Maybe I'm saving the file wrong before import?

I don't know I've tried black and white, transparent and not, and every combination I can think of. I can't get it to steadily glow without issue. Help please.

The test I just did: alpha = complete black, rgb = much darker shade of orange with black everywhere else. Steady glow. No flashing. What program are you using to make it? Are you saving as dxt5? On a side note I noticed a couple of incorrectly weighted vertices.

I've been trying to use photoshop should I be using something else?
I've only been using the studio, blender, and photoshop, what else do I need?
Also, my photoshop doesn't save dxt5 files or dds files, and how is it incorrectly weighted? I don't understand weight paint very well, just that it anchors the object so it stays where it's supposed to...guessing it anchors it to the rig?

Ah, downloaded the plug-in for mac, then saved dds. I was saving it wrong. Now it works. Thank you!!

...my photoshop doesn't save dxt5 files or dds files... In order to show correctly the alpha information needs to be saved. Without the plugin the alpha channel info is lost. The only way to do that without the plugin is to create a mask on your RGB layer then apply it before saving as .png. Sometimes this does not produce the correct outcome but it's worth a shot. Alternatively, you can download the plugin.Solved as I was typing lol To verify bone assignment you can follow THIS mini-tutorial.
