I was trying to re-texture an underwear in sims studio, it looked right to me. When I got in game to try it on, this transparent outline of maxi's underwear(was the same one I was re-texturing) showed underneath when I trimmed a lot of length off. Was creating some sort of thong/short speedos
I would erase the shadow effect cause that was causing a transparent maxi briefs to show underneath then.
I know a creator was able to make these type of underwear's without having this problem occur. Just want to know how I can make that outline go way so the skin of the bum can show in peace. Like we have the option to wear female underwear and when you put a male sim in those short undies/panties that transparent underwear won't show underneath(besides that they are the same length at that). Don't know if it's coding but it's annoying for what I wanna make/create.

never mind I found the solution, I pretty much re-textured a nude custom clothing for the outlines not to appear. It's fix for now.

In future, the issue you were facing was most likely the normal map no longer matching up with the underwear after you retextured it. The normal map controls the shading of an object and if you shortened the underwear without doing the same to the normal map, you'd see what looked like a transparent set of underwear.
At least, I'm assuming that's what's happened. I could tell for sure if you'd included screenshots.
