I'm having some trouble with getting my food to appear in the game, even after adding this snippet to my food. I used the hex64 for the instance and replaced what needed to be replaced in the snippet. I'm just trying to get it to show up on the regular fridge now, so it should have been straightforward but I don't know what I'm missing.
If it matters, it's just a simple recolour of an existing recipe I made as an experiment, nothing too complicated. I didn't change the required cooking level and the Sims I've tried to use to cook my dish have the level required for the original.
So... tips? Thanks!

What was the base recipe used? Don't change id numbers of snippet, only the group category id of food (meat,vegetable etc.) and the recipe id.

It was a clone of spaghetti. I changed only the things in the snippet you indicated in your tutorial so the id is the same. Would it help if I sent you my files? I can do that if it would help, just let me know how.

Does anyone know how I can edit base game foods to put them into the new menu categories for example, the only way to access spaghetti I have to go to cook instead of just going to pasta and salads to access it

You can clone the spaghetti and add a snippet with pasta category. If you want in cook and pasta add 2 group categories to snippet. Crafting tutorial has details. |

I am having a problem with Last Exception errors when I load up a lot. I narrowed it down by process of elimination.. And all I have left is this mod and a few custom toddler foods. I've been able to use the custom toddler foods, and the cereals and pancakes.. and several others.. so they are working.. but I just get the LEs. Is there something I am doing incorrectly? I look forward to your reply. Thank you for all you do! <3

Well your tutorial talks about coding and snippets and I know nothing of that. I didn't DO any of that. All I did was put the file for the mod in my mods folder and added some CC foods.. I also have the menu expander. I don't fully understand the 'craftable' part.. I just wanted the extra food options. When I first downloaded it all, I didn't realize the depth of your tutorial. And did none of it. I'm wondering if that is why it's throwing the LEs. Do you know of any other mods this conflicts with, right off?

@wj The LE files were mostly blank, just a few characters. But I have found that it was some Gourmet Baby food by AOM. I have since asked for them to be updated so I can put them back in my game. Thank you for wanting to help.  |

Hello! I recently installed the menu enhancer, but the option to make gourmet food seems to have been overwritten, how can I fix this without having to uninstall the menu enhancer?

gourmet foods don't appear until sim has cooking skill 3 or 4, that's an EA thing

Is there a list of custom recipes that needs this mod to work properly? I have this one and Custom Food Interactions.. and for some reason, a lot of the sub categories for foods are blank.. not showing any recipes when I click on them on the fridge.. even though I know I have the recipe files. But I'm uncertain which mod is causing it. If anyone could help me out?

There is no list, if a food has the snippet it will appear in the menu. In the past other users told me that some of the buy ingredients from fridge mods cause issues. Other than that I can only suggest trying without any mods, if that works add mods back a few at a time, til you find the issue

Ok, thank you. I am only having trouble with the blank subcategories. I don't use the mod that allows you to buy items from the fridge. I am also using Custom Food Interactions mod.. I haven't tried my game with only your mod yet.
Do you have alternate recipes that do not have the 'snippet' code in them? Recipes that do not require the Menu Expander and Craft Enabler? Thank you so much!
