I wanted to remove the sleeves from a romper from city living, so I've been working on it in blender and it looks fine, except in s4studio it says that my mesh is missing a uv map but it isnt when I try to import it. Link to my .blend fileThank you so much for any help. I'm stumped.

Hi, I looked at the package. What did you choose as a clone? In the coveralls of 7 groups. Four groups are empty, I think the problem is this. Take as a clone a short dress for 3 groups.

I cloned the original romper that came with the City Living expansion pack. It looks just like my mesh, but it has sleeves. They are sort of empty, but not.. because some of the mesh was separate and they were just pieces of the arms. There were two pieces for each arm, so that equals four.. I tried deleting the arm pieces, but it looks like this..

For correct work, the number of clone groups should match the number of groups in your overalls. You have 3 groups. These squares, most likely, superfluous clone groups. Take another clone. As an experiment, you can try to remove groups with squares. But ... I do not do that, I do not know what will happen. O_o

hi! Depending on the item, groups might be divided differently. Some might have 3 groups, some others more. For whatever reason, EA decided that some of them would have parts divided into different groups. Example, arms with parts of their mesh into another group. You have to edit all of those groups to fix that. Instead of deleting the mesh, move those squares in edit mode to the inside of the body where they will not be visible. You can't have empty groups with no geometry on them or s4s will give you the error you describe on the first post.
The other suggestion, since you already have a joined finished group that is s4studio_mesh_3, is to clone short dress like suggested above as a base. Export its mesh and append your group to it. Check that the group and cut numbers match, and delete the original group so that yours is there instead.

For the sake of having an organized and clean blend, i rename the group names by double clicking on them and writing the proper name. If the first group is group_mesh_1, and your mesh is group_mesh_1.001 then i delete the original group (after having checked the cut numbers) and rename the .001 by deleting the last part. It's just so that you can see clearly if you're missing something.
If you're asking about something else, then please let me know. Maybe i didn't understand the question.

I did what you said.. but I'm still getting the error. Should I have used a dress with 7 meshes? I used one with 3.

Hey, so I redid my project and moved the arm pieces into the inside. It worked! Thanks again for all your help edit// I seem to have floaty arm pieces no matter where I place them in the mesh in create a sim Is there a way to remedy this?

Package file hereBlend file hereI think the shoulder glitches might be my fault because I used texture tools to try to fix the sleeves. I missed a step when I edited the mesh the second time and didn't close up the arms :/

I'm not sure if this is going to fix your issue, but i would like you to test by opening your package, heading over the top menu where it says "tools". Then modding / fix slot rays. Save the file and see if anything changed in game. If this doesn't fix it then i would move onto cloning a short dress as it was suggested above. Also, i'm noticing you have overlapping geometry. You only need to add the arms not the rest of the parts. Remember to leave at least one row extra of vertices when cutting the mesh to avoid visible holes.

Blender is just so finicky when I delete parts, when I tried deleting all of it I accidentally ended up deleting a crucial part..
Thank you for the suggestion, unfortunately it didn't work :/ I'm still sort of confused about the short dress thing.. which one will work do you think? The one I used didn't have all 7 mesh slots.
I tested the package file in game right now... and oh my gosh. It has sleeves in game. :/
