Hi all, So I edited a mesh of a dress from the game, I put my own texture and shadowing. Everything in CAS and in game is fine but in the CAS thumbnail and gallery picture it has this glitchy line coming from the outfit, can anyone help me? I have no idea what is causing it. Here are some screenshots

hi! can you explain how you edited the mesh and if you created new vertices. this is probably related to importing lod0 onto the lower lods. some of them differ in bones causing this issue. my suggestion is editing the mesh of the lower lods as you've done with the highest one.
just for testing, you can re clone the the item again, import your mesh only to the highest lod and see if the issue is still there.
if you need more help, please share the package and blend files.

By cloning i'm referring to start a new package from scratch, and only import LOD0. Leave the rest untouched, and see if the issue is still there.

oh okay! I'm looking at the blend and i'm noticing that you've merged the divided groups into 1. That's the issue. You should never import a different quantity of groups or different division that are not present in the original package. If the package has 2 groups, then you should import the same amount.
The original dress you cloned is divided into 2 groups. One with a finger, and the other is the rest of the dress. DON'T ask me why EA decided to divide the mesh like this, but just stick to what you export and import equally the same.
Also, when you append items over and over to a blend you get copies of the RIG. You should delete those copies and only leave the original rig group. That can mess up things too. But primarily, your issue here is the difference in groups.

Oh no, when I joined them I wondered if I had done something wrong. So does that mean I will have to edit the original mesh all over again?

Yes, but now you know what happens when you do that.
Your other alternative is to clone another short dress, export its mesh and see how that one is edited. Not all meshes are divided like that (the finger issue).. but cut around the legs in different groups so maybe that's easier for you to do.

Hi again, so I re did the mesh and kept the 2 groups but it's doing the exact same thing. :'( I guess I will try with another dress!
