My bet is that modders who are telling players that turning off error handling will fix problems with CC believe that this is true. It isn't that they aren't telling the truth. They're just incorrect. There's a difference Saying the former is suggesting someone is lying. Saying the latter is pointing out they are mistaken.

Being the Voice of Reason.. another of your many talents, orangemittens Those (any) modders/creators (and players, too!) could easily try it for themselves and see what happens, preferably before sharing this kind of misinformation with people whose games might have just blown up. With MCCC, with MCCC without error catching enabled, and without MCCC. They will see the same errors. They will just be presented differently. The last 2 tests will both require looking in Sims 4 manually, and that won't necessarily "connect" an error with its reason, the way a live "on the fly" notification from MCCC when the error HAPPENS often does. Anyone, modder/creator/player alike, is more than welcome to come see us on Discord for help with lastExceptions. Using MCCC is not required. We have general channels, also. Come see us. We won't bite. We'll help if we can. Our new General Support chat channel link is: discord.gg/Xfn9xrR (Because 95% of the time, MCCC is NOT part of the problem, so there's no need to troubleshoot these issues in MCCC-specific support channels.) Usually, we recommend the 50/50 test with just having your Resource.cfg and MCCC in /Mods to start. Sometimes, we get lucky and an Exception will mention files by name... but that's uncommon. I can't tell you how many exception files Deaderpool has looked at since June 1... but it's been over 400 for me (his count is higher), and still going strong. We *might* be able to help. Knowledge is Power. We don't mind to share what we've figured out. I will grant you that I get a little heated when I see people creating mods/cc tell players to turn off the one feature of MCCC that can help players find their broken files. Whether it relates to "that" creator's files or to someone else's, is not as important to me as the idea that people "with authority" (modders/creators) should not be seemingly disrespecting Deaderpool's efforts toward helping players clean up outdated/broken files in their games. No One is FIXING anything, just by disabling that setting. Just hiding what's still happening from being acknowledged from within the game. Anyone who simply turns the setting off, without also removing or updating the mods or cc causing the error, WILL still see new lastExceptions in /Sims 4. Window out, they'll be there. This isn't the only place I've seen "turn it off" offered as a "solution." 100% correct. I didn't disable my notifications because it's a very useful tool in helping me manage my mods and cc. And you are spot on I went through the painstaking task of removing all mods and testing them in game one by one and the only time I had problems was when I added EVM. I took it out of my game since it seems there won't be an update in the near future and I haven't had an exception error since. I understand that some mod creators don't really get paid for the contribution that they make toward the improvement of the game..so I can't be mad. When he has the time he'll get around to it. For now my psychopaths will have to play nice.

I have a feeling you'd have to work a lot harder to offend me, than I might need to, to offend you, orangemittens . I'm a little like that, sometimes, shoot first, ask questions later. I just don't ever want to get on your bad side. (I'm not saying I think I did... just that i REALLY don't want to.) I've seen you (respectfully) disagree with people (see: MTS) before. Impressive, and a little bit scary. My contributions to the Sims community are pretty small, compared to yours. (It isn't about that, but, that's just a fact. We do different things.) You don't owe me any kind of apology. You were right, I COULD have said what I did in the "first" post a little better. (Edited it, too, after yours, BECAUSE you were right.) Thanks for this. MCCommand and Wicked Whims have updated. Still getting exception errors the minute I add EVM in game. Notifications like crazy. If I remove the mod, no issues. So I guess I'll just have to keep it out of game. The notifications are annoying and it fills up my notifications que. Thanks for the mod though it was a blast using it in game. Just to give everyone an update: I've been playing my game without Extreme Violence Mod for two weeks, no exception errors. I have MCC and WW, UI cheats, Basemental Drug Mod, Several Work from home mods, MCC notifications are on. No exception errors. I added EVM, started game, the minute game play starts, Exception/script error notifications kept popping up. I shut the game down and removed EVM, I looked in my folder....there were 10 exception error files all dated the same. No exceptions prior to that date in that folder....

Hello, I was finally able to fix the errors that are caused by the extreme violence mod, I will post an update soon. as I've mentioned before the mod was working correctly as it is BUT there were a couple of errors being generated from the reaction system I believe. however that didn't cause the mod to malfunction, only generated errors in the last exception file that MCCC notified You about. I did confirm before that the mod caused errors that were written in the last exception file & I did say that I will work on update for it but suggested turning off notifications so You don't get bothered with them everytime You want to use the mod since it worked the way it should but with some errors being generated. Thanks for Your patience, update should be up in a couple of days.

It's great to hear the mod is updated! I now am getting the whole turning off notifications vs. not turning off notifications conversation in this thread. I missed your post about that before. I hope you did not take my comment as directed at you. Your suggestion makes complete sense in the context of using the mod. To me what's important is that people using mods are given the information they need to make informed decisions about CC/Mod management and everyone in this thread has given that

thanks for the update, I've been awaiting it! However with today's v1.3 update, the mod seems to be far more broken... :(
I tried it with no other CC or mods installed and the only interactions available are the new "mess up" and "disable reactions for". None of the other interactions show. When I use "mess up" the sims approach each other but no animation plays, yet their buffs do change and the one gets the blood texture on their face. Perhaps the package file was corrupted?
I'm on the latest sims 4 version 1.31

Hello,
I installed your new version without any others mods and I can't get it to work for some reasons. None of the interactions are showing, only the club stuff. I tested on a new game but it's still the same thing. My game is in french and it's a legal origin copy with latest update and every xpack plus some gamepacks.
Only your mod is not working for me. Others mods such as andrew poseplayer are fine. I don't really understand the culprit if it's not something from my mods.
Maybe there is an issue with reading string files by the game since my game is in french? Andrew pose player used to have this issue but since there is an icon from the main menu it was still accessible. Your Extreme Violence pie menu don't have any icon so maybe it doesn't show in my game due to wrong string files not recognized by the game

"This happens if Your game is running extremely slow" Thanks for the feedback.
