Hello hello I'm looking for a place to share my cc. TSR is a cool looking site but it looks like I can't update my CC once released >.> I've read I would have to send a message to the team and wait for their instructions.. last time I've sent a message to the team they answered me after a week and only to 1 of 3 messages. I would like the freedom to update the files even if I have to wait the approval of the team. Is there anything else similar to it. I know about mod the sims but its hmm >.,> not cool looking ...

I use Mediafire myself. I sometimes upload my CC to ModTheSims (it's good for getting exposure), but mostly I enjoy having the freedom of uploading/updating whenever I want and not having to wait in a moderation queue. A couple of other sites I've seen people use are Box and Dropbox, but you can always have a look on Tumblr to get some more ideas.

Yeah I've been looking around and It looks like TSR is dead from team side. I will use TSR and MTS for exposure but I will start uploading on mediafire. At least for now. I wish nexus the sims 4 side was known to people. Used to spend so many hours looking for mods for skyrim. I actually liked the way it worked. Tomorrow I'll fix the neck seam of my dress and update/upload it on Media fire. Thanks girlfromverona

Tumblr and Dropbox together work extremely well for the most part. Dropbox is free for up to 2mb of files. Tumblr is where the Simmers hang out, they call it - "Simblr". Tumblr does change the way you post things sometimes, so after getting that managed - i)e: Pic with Dropbox link / Vid with Dropbox link; Good to go. MTS does have a waiting que - not sure how girlfromverona can state that it does not. I completely dropped that account, the site looks shabby with low quality pics these days.
TSR is filled with Ads, like FaceBook on Steroids. I can't comment on their policies - never been a member there.
For the most part, hosting files @ a 3rd Party site will bring you Popularity. These people who run them know how to exploit your Talent and Creativity to offer new members - "The Best Downloads", while they charge more for advertising. It's the basic Facebook Plan, expand and ad revenue.

Hosting your own site is also an option, I have 2 Cousins back in the States who are Web Designers - The only problem with that....actually a number of problems - "Google Algorithm" - can and will determine where your site will show on a Search; The Big Boys/Girls are @ the Top of most Searches - "Web Monopoly". The Second major headache would be the TIME involved to update - check posts - mail...blah, blah, blah. Could you imagine being OrangeMittens? No thanks. How does she have TIME for anything? The 3rd problem, and most overlooked - Hackers. If you are seen to be a possible Threat, to the Big Boys/Girls Web Monopoly - expect to be attacked - viciously. And this ends my depressing, horrific Tale of Web Hosting. Have a Nice Day!

MTS does have a waiting que - not sure how girlfromverona can state that it does not. Sorry if my post was misleading - that's not what I meant. I only occasionally upload to MTS. Most of the time I use Tumblr/Mediafire because I don't want to have to wait in a moderation queue. (Hope that makes better sense!)

Im not a fan of tumblr, too many things get lost on it, if you see something once that at the time is not of any interest to you but later on think you may want it, good luck finding it. Blogger is the better option imo, you still need to host your files on dropbox or simular but blogger allows you to find things, tag things, categorize things, people tend to to go back to your blog to check it out once you have a few things on it, in a sense you stand out from all the simblrs. You can also then use tumblr to update your blog updates.
As far as paying for web hosting, we pay $12 a month (something like that anyway) and we host all our own files, we started on blogger but once we started getting a bit of constant traffic and a few other sites started hotlinking our downloads we moved to a paid one where we can block hotlinking. We are no web gurus, its just Hostgator with a wordpress blog on it.
If you did want to consider using paid hosting, dont do it straight away, use blogger because it is free, if you find as you create its something you want to get into more and more, then consider using paid hosting.

I feel the same way about tumblr. Things get lost really fast but I feel like I'm still too new to start my own blog/website. I will give a look to blogger. So i'm going to use mediafire/ tumblr for now and upload some files on TSR. Hopefully that website will come back to life. I don't mind to wait few days for my things to be released but on the other hand I want the freedom to update my info/files without asking the permission to some else. Thanks everyone for you help Now I know what I can do and I can choose.

Actually, Microsoft Skydrive gives you like 15GB free.
To note though, Mediafire has a lot of issues with ads and potential virus poo, Do not want.

I use a variety of places. Many sites I'm on have a "share" area like here and LivingSims. I also have my own site. It's pretty easy to make something that looks decent with things like Webs and Weebly that have drag and drop capability. You may not be able to do everything you want, but if you're not a web designer, it's a fairly low-stress option. You can mess around with their free options to get your feet wet and see if it's for you.
For visibility, you can post your updates to MySims4Blog and Sims4Updates. They have both have a wider viewership and having your work shared there will drive people to your site. Same thing with tumblr. Posting there with the tags #sims4cc and #ccfinds will often get your posts shared by people who are aggregating finds on their tumblrs. Each time I share something, I get several hundred visitors at my site from the sources I listed. Not the thousands of DLs you'd get at TSR, but I think it's a good tradeoff for the freedom and autonomy over your stuff.
I stopped using MediaFire after what happened to Sarah @ Awesims and others. I upgraded my webs site so that I have more storage and upload my files there. I might try Dropbox and others if I run out of room there.

How do MySims4Blog and Sims4Updates work? Do I have to manually add my stuff or is there a way to tell them I have CCs to share. I've seen a comment section but I hope it's not the way to let them know about you.

For MySims4Blog it's the "Updates Here" tab - mysims4blog.blogspot.com/p/updates-here.html For Sims4Updates it's "Contact" - sims4updates.net/contact/ (you can send an email or put it in the comments on that page) You upload your items somewhere with pictures and a link - your own site, tumblr, etc. Then contact each to let them know you have something new available. The site owners create the entry for you. They also privately host the pictures they end up using on their site, so it doesn't eat up bandwidth wherever you have them hosted.
