This has not happened to me yet but it has to many people. Many people now get this image instead of their uploaded ones: To unlock it you need to pay and people have been saying it's $400 a year. Images uploaded to PB and posted at for example sims4studio are replaced with that image. Go to hell photobucket I say! What is 3rd party hosting?: hotlinking, or embedding your image on a forum by using IMG tags from an image hosting site. Do you still see your images? Be lucky because they will gone soon.

Yeap! I've noticed that. It'll be a pain to fix all those images. That's why i've been always using imgur instead.

My YouTube banner also got that picture and I see a lot of others having the same problem too. No way I'm going to pay $400,- just to share images. I read somewhere that someone recently bought Photobucket, so I think that's where the change comes from. It's quite harsh just deleting images like that or sending an email (which I also had just today) saying you will have to pay to be able to keep your images on third party websites. Info can also be found at Photobucket/P500Which other sites can be used to do the same thing? inabadromance , is Imgur a good replacment? is it user friendly and stuff like that?

Bakie that sucks! so you can't even see the original images on your account either? imgur is the best choice in my opinion, i've been using it for years! and it's super easy to use and share. You can even paste images using ctrl+v (for example if you have something copied from photoshop) and uploads it with just that. super handy.

This is so awful. I don't play TS2 anymore, but occasionally check back in some of the communities I loved. A lot of people are still going strong, but more and more creators are retiring and not going to replace dozens or hundreds of pics, even if they still have them.
We all know that U.S. companies, at least, can do just about anything they want online, regardless of what any current agreement is. But it seems to me that if they advertised as storage, that they should at least be required to let people know that they may want to remove their items before they are made unavailable. It would be nice, but just given the way businesses are pretty much allowed to do whatever they want here, I somehow doubt their is any recourse. I hope I'm wrong.

Awful! I am a pay subscriber at Photobucket for years. Since I don't upload so many images I have just the +20 Plan. Have to renew my subscription just at the end of July and wonder if it is worth the money. Of course not the crazy offer +500 ( 400$ per year). Just the current basic membership. But I hate rapacity... I don't know Imgur. Is it free or pay and if pay, is it affordable ? Thanks in advance for your explanations... I have still some days before making a decision. What I have read on Photobucket: They say that our photos are safe, that we just need to log in in order to view them, that we can download them, but that we no longer can share them on any forum ( for instance here at Sims 4 Studio)... because "poor Photobucket" get no money for that .... I am disgusted >:D

I recently noticed this and was extremely frustrated since I posted a bunch of tutorials on photobucket. Had to spend an hour checking pictures and reuploading to imgur. As far as I understand that hosting services have to get profit, I find $400 per year extremely greedy price.

I actually tried to sign up for Photobucket today...when I first filled out the sign up, I got an error message that said "Photobucket could not handle this request" (dramatic error message but ok lol), then I tried to sign up again and it said my email was already registered...so I went to log in, but it said no account existed for my email.
So Photobucket presumabley has my email, but didn't give me an account. Which is....kind of creepy.

Photofuckit is doomed. They will loose a LOT of members, in the next few month. All we can do is, move to the next picture host.

Seems since photobucket now changed into a paying type, alot of people are leaving and using another photo site to upload and download.

annabluu, have you tried just right clicking on uploaded picture and copy link that way? When I'm lazy to click "share links", I do it this way.
