Okay, so I checked the forums and I tried to do everything that it said to fix this but for some reason, it just won't fix anything for me, yes I've made sure that all the textures are the right sizes but , ugh I am just so lost. image
Since this is a conversion, the file came with a diffuse and a (rainbow looking) normal map, I've included the normal map that it came with, along with the same image but for bump (it's grey), and i've included the package. In the package I just inserted the mesh with the texture because whenever i tried replacing some of the bump/specular, it would always show up crazy in game. The item I cloned was the stolen atm unlockable from the base game. package rar

hi! Umn, is there something else in the .rar apart from the package? got a warning for being "unsafe". Can you share the single .package file instead?
This is probably regarding the resolution of your textures, make sure that they are a power of 2. 256x256, 512x512..1024x512 and so on. On all your textures.

hey, so i fixed the issue (I just cloned a different object and made a new package) however now my object has this weird square pixel look. Also in the rar file from before i uploaded the specular texture (looks like a rainbow) and the bump map that I created off of that. I'll include the new package. imagepackage

I checked your File in Sims4Studio - You have a Bump in the Bump slot, but you also have a Bump in the Specular Slot. I re-baked in Blender and the Specular is always a Pain, i usually just toss in a Blank and make the Lods Full-Bright...ha! BUT Not using my method of Madness - You take the Specular Bake from Blender, and drop the Opacity to 50%.
°The Geometry of your Mesh not being Perfectly Round is something for you to either Subdivide, to make more round in those areas...adjust or just leave it, still looks OK to me.

Your specular should be gray scale, not in colors. You can check this tutorial (start reading at step 22). The squares might be on the mesh itself, can you share the blend file?

My Method is FULL BRIGHT. The Specular is, has been and Always will be a Problem. Had some good results on Opacity 50% and Lower. Someone posted a Tutorial on RGB Settings, back in the day. Read another post on TSR, of All Places... The Specular is like the RLES File in Cas, it will cast Shine on your Object. Usually, Unwanted shine and wierd looking. Anyhows, this is a Pic below with Full Bright Lods. No Game Update has yet Crushed the Full Bright method. No shine, no distorted shadows...just glow. Always good to read Tutorials though, if you find something that works Good, let me know!

Thanks for all the replies, the video also helped a lot. Does the full bright method mean that it will just stay that same shade no matter the lighting? I take a lot of pictures in very dark places and I don't want the pod to just be super bright. I guess I could live with a few of those square glitches as they can be edited out in photoshop. I have downloaded both files now, thank you Also here is the blend file, I've never had a problem like this so I wouldn't know how to fix it if the problem were the mesh itself blend file

thank you for sharing the blend. the squares are in fact, part of the mesh. You can see how your mesh will look in game by changing the display to "solid" and the shade to "smooth". To fix this you'll need to go into edit mode, select each piece that has the seams by hovering and pressing L to select that chunk. Then go to your side bar and press "remove doubles".

Yes, that is Exactly what it does. If you have PhotoShop, one of those Specular Tutorials may be better to follow....that was my hang-up. Most of the Good Tutorials are written with PS in mind and i don't have PS. I have looked into the Nividea settings and the RGB settings, with various results. I have noticed that the Brighter the Texture color is, the more Crazy a Shine/Shadow can become.

Ohhh okay thank you, unfortunately it seems I can't fix it that way, i've tried removing the double but the problemm still occurs :/ Also thank you, i'll make sure to follow some more specular tutorials in the future

ahhh I'm so sorry, I just thought that if the sure texture wasn't going away in blender, it meant that it wouldn't go away in game, BUT IT DID.
I can't thank you guys enough for this, especially you inabadromance, you've helped me before and i'm glad you're always here to help me and others <3
