The game does work well under wine, HOWEVER. The EA app looks like A** with the logo on top messed up, as well as the menu on the left. Not sure if it's the font missing or corrupted. In any case, the same does not happen under steam but here's the interesting thing. When I reinstalled The Sims 4 back under steam and proton, Sims 4 Studio found the game there just fine. So I'm thinking, maybe install Studio with wine first, ignore the error and then install your Sims game? Can't say for sure but it seems that studio recognizes the game being installed and "finds" the path auto magically.
Had to edit to correct some mistakes.

I gave up trying to get Sims 4 Studio to see my proton install of The Sims 4 so I uninstalled it from steam, installed on Wine and now Studio can find my game and configures Studio correctly. Installing the game using a different interface was most likely never going to work, now that my game is in the same area as Studio, everything works just fine. Now I have to hope that my game works as good under wine as it did under proton.

I tried to follow a bunch of different sites: discord, Mac sites (in case they had a clue or offered one) and others but none of the procedures worked, the path could not be found. My program didn't close on giving the error and I could open mod files if I opened them using Sims 4 Studio, but I could never find a path that actually worked. Part of my problem, I am sure is that I run my Sims 4 game with proton and I am running Studio with wine, so it's probably confusing one drive c with the other, as to the solution, if I could get Studio installing with proton, it might work but I can't really say for sure, ATM.
I'm using Manjaro and all of my Windows games run great through Proton Experimental but as for mod programs, that seems to be a whole other ball game. I'm just happy I could get mods to even work.

Just to try a different way, I used my other computer running Manjaro (Linux) and other than a small complaint from Google Drive, I had no other problems downloading this. Between Microsoft and Malwarebytes, both need to back off and look for actual virus potential, then just slamming down the gate and assuming that people don't know what they're doing. Actually Google drive needs to take a step back as well.
Edit: Both posts were edited to use a more reasonable sized font.

I have absolutely zero problems getting this program to install and run, but downloading? OMG, what an absolute PITA. First google drive complains, then Microsoft gets in the way by stating that this doesn't seem like a file that is used much or something to that effect and finally Malwarebytes jumps in and says NO!!!! There is no frikken way you are going to that page!!! Yeah? Is that right? Goodbye Malcrapware. And then I can finally download this, oh but microcrap isn't done. I can start the download but then it hangs there and insist that I ditch the download but after a million times telling it to KEEP THE FILE, I finally get it into downloads. Once there, no problem but getting it there in the first place is one huge Pain. Just letting you know how big a problem this is to download.

One thing I noticed while looking at the code is that it's in one line which makes it horrendous to try and edit it. Is there a way internally to change this code into something easier to read? For example:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><I c="CareerSuperInteraction" i="interaction" m="careers.career_interactions" n="AOM:si_Adult_Career_FastFood" s="12855104301598646235"><V n="_cancelable_by_user" t="require_confirmation"><U n="require_confirmation"><V n="icon" t="enabled"><V n="enabled" t="participant" /></V>...
to:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
<I c="CareerSuperInteraction" i="interaction" m="careers.career_interactions" n="AOM:si_Adult_Career_FastFood" s="12855104301598646235">
<V n="_cancelable_by_user" t="require_confirmation">
<U n="require_confirmation">
<V n="icon" t="enabled">
<V n="enabled" t="participant"/>
</V>
<V n="text" t="single">
<T n="single">0x94778DFD</T>
</V>
<T n="text_cancel">0xD877B6E9</T>
<T n="text_ok">0xB7A2CBCD</T>
<V n="title" t="enabled">
<T n="enabled">0xFED38725</T>
</V>...
I used an external program to do this but it would be nicer if the code was restructured automatically.
Edit: and the webpage messed up what I was showing, lol. Hopefully my edit fixed it.

Here we have the Wood and metal bed that some poor sim made from a metal end table. As the glass kept breaking, they made the glass top separately and previously. These bed bottoms will allow the placement of any of your existing mattress only mattresses of which I have a ton but they are all recolors of other peoples mattresses and therefor I didn't include a mattress on the bed. This mesh and the previous glass mesh is one I made myself but it was fashioned in somewhat the same manner as the annachibi beds, you will find in the Sims 4 Studio Studios. The end table, the bed stand and the dresser are already in your game and this wooden section comes with matching colors for those items. I hope you enjoy this as much as I have for some time now.
By the way, I found out you can stack as many of these items together without a placement problem, that's why the two pieces come separate. (I mean the glass piece and this wood and metal piece.)

I bring you The Glass Bed. This is no ordinary glass bed, because if you combine it with the next item, it will do something wondrous, which I will show you with the next object.

I made this window to match the vertical and horizontal extended windows in the ParentHood Patch as I wanted a counter height window to match. I used the vertical mesh to create this so you will need the parenthood pack for this window to show in your game.

Of course I just had to make a counter height window of this one too! As before, you will need the Spa pack installed for the window to work. Enjoy!

Also the ping would have probably worked too but the jpgs are a lot lighter. Edit: spelling I meant png.

Wow, got it to work but let me tell you, ftp to public, grab a direct link and then put in a hotlink sure used to be a lot easier.
Edit: Also, will add another window tomorrow, maybe two but I wanted to get everything working first.

Yeah maybe I need to switch to jpg, I did mine as png and the compression might not be enough. As for the physical size, they're smaller, around 640 so I will try and change the format.
The format is much smaller but the images don't show. Maybe using onedrive was not such a good idea.
Edit: So I take it the form used for linking images doesn't work then?

Just wondering if there is any size (physical, bytes) restrictions to images linked in the studio? I'm asking because shared images don't seem to be showing.

I've had to add as the image isn't showing that you might need the Spa Game Pack in order to have all the swatches work. I don't know what will happen if you don't have that pack installed.#Windows
