Hello.
I'm trying to change the specular on a CC loveseat but I can't import the new black DDS texture into S4S. When I import it, the image in S4S doesn't change and remains grey. In Photoshop it appears black.

orangemittens, thank you for clearing that up for me. I'm sure you've seen this question a lot around, but I couldn't figure it out by myself. I think I'm starting to understand how all this works. I redid my recolors and I'm pretty happy with them I'll see about sharing them around here for some feedback and if anybody's interested in the content. Thanks again!

Hi, everyone. This is my third post and I'm sorry if I didn't introduce myself earlier. It's been a long time since I don't participate in a forum. So, I'm mountain.top, I'm 29, and I've been simming - on and off - for 14 years. I love CC and I don't think I'd play if it wasn't for it, lol. So thank you to all creators all over the globe <3 . I just made a simblr and I guess I'm starting to experience with a bit of creating. Happy holydays!

Hello, everyone. I've made some painting recolors with Sugar and they're my first CC ever, so I'm a bit lost. I found a CC painting that I liked and asked for the creator's permission to recolor it. So I followed this tutorial by Bakie and read a bit of some other ones, but I couldn't solve this doubt so I thought I should ask here. I had the original painting, but when I did the "Standalone Recolor", my recolors wouldn't place in game (they were red). I guess that's because I needed the mesh in the game? But I didn't want to keep the original painting in my mods folder, I wanted the mesh to be included in my package. So I ended up going for "Override" and it worked, but is that the correct way? If someone, hypothetically, had both my package and the original package, would there be any conflict? What about good practices, would this cause any problems regarding work credit or any other issue? I intend to share my recolors. Thank you!
