Good day So I've been trying to figure out how to edit UI icons, especially to edit the wrench icon to something personal instead, so I will still notice quickly that it's custom content. Though, I can't seem to figure out how to properly save the .dds file. I tried this only with photoshop and the plugin and found somewhere on ModTheSims you should save it like this. ( source) The result however, was that all icons became transparent like this. Though editing the file does work and replacing it, the way it saved must not have gone correct.. Does anyone know how to save/edit it properly? You would save my day, thank you! ^_^

I'm not sure how orangemittens goes about this but I do know of a method that works. I've used it for replacing map images. All UI graphics are made up of two seperate images. You need both for the edit to display correctly. You can use Sims 4 Image Viewer to find and extract the needed images. You can download it from l'universims. The site is in French but the tool works in English as well. I can verify that the tool is safe to install as I have used it myself with no problems. Use it to open the UI game package and then look for the images you are after. Related images will all be paired together and they will show what the combined image looks like in game when clicked on. Extract the files you need as DDS images. You will now need to use CmarNYC's UI Texture Squasher which is available from ModTheSims. You don't need to install this one. You can just run the .exe after you extract it from the .zip folder. This tool combines the two extracted DDS images into a single PNG file that you can edit in any image editor of your choosing. Once you have made your edits, put the PNG back through the UI Texture Squasher to get two seperate DDS images which you can then package using S4Studio to get a working file for the game. Hopefully I have explained this well enough and you can understand what I mean. Let me know if you have any questions and I will try my best to answer.
