Bakie You don't need to have an account to post on Imgur. I don't have one but I can still post and share. Just click on the New Post button in the upper left of the Imgur website to upload and share an image.

I am now adding the bump and specular map for the foundation but...
1.) I just don't get why the bump map I'm extracting from the Get Ruins wall paint is reversed. The dark areas protrude out instead of protrude in. 2.) The specular map is not matching the pattern of the diffuse.
I'm trying to create the bump and specular maps using free online programs. How to turn a normal map into a bump map? Shall I just desaturate it? Make it greyscale?

Here's how it looks like in the game, so far, with bump and specular. The seams though...and why does it look blurry? imgur.com/589NKLg============================== Upon more investigations, I found out that in the Warehouse tab of the Get Ruins Wall Paint, the three lines of material definitions correspond to each wall height (short, medium, & tall). For short wall, the DiffuseUVScale multiplier is 0.33333. For the medium wall, it's 0.250. And for the tall wall, it's 0.200. Bakie, because I'm having problems with the normal and spec maps of the short wall, I'm going to use the textures of the tall wall and use the multiplier 0.200. Let's see how it goes. ============================= The foundation pattern is much more similar to the tall wall pattern above now. imgur.com/qz2nQwLStill, there's issues with the normal map. Darks areas are elevated while light areas are depressed. I can't figure out why. The normal map was just extracted from the wall textures. I did nothing to it in the 2d editor except crop it and resize it.

I also don't know why it looks more blurry then the normal wallpaper, must have something to do with the stretching I think. I don't see the seams where you're talking about? Do you see vertical seams on the foundation? As for the dark and lighter parts of the bump, can't you invert the colors and see how that turns out?
