I recently created my first 3D mesh, and it show up fine in S4S as well as in CAS mode in the game, but when I go to live mode, it reverts to the part that originally modified to make the part, occasionally showing up as the part I created, but mostly showing up in its reverted form. I tried creating a similar mesh out of a different part, but I experience the same problem. Anyone know what might be going on?

You need to replace all LODS by creating decimated version of the main one. There are 3 LODs in the mesh, when you zoom out a bit game renders LOD1, when you zoom out more it renders LOD2 or LOD3 depends on the distance. LOD0 is a mesh with the highest amount of polygons, it can be seen in CAS of in live mode when you look at sim closely.
