Hey it's my first time posting here so i hope i'm doing this correctly, i've frankenmeshed a hair and while i've been able to fix several issues it still looks a bit weird in game because the zone around the ear / back of the neck lights up? This happens too in some parts of the hair. I'm not sure if this is because i removed doubles on blender, but i'd be very grateful if anyone could guide me to why this is happening or how to fix it thank you in advance

Hi, welcome to the forum! Please share the package and blend file so someone can take a look at it.

you need to delete unnecessary vertices. part of the mesh that you're seeing light up is due to the mesh conflicting with the head mesh.

annabluu Hey so i tried what you suggested, i have to say i'm not 100% sure what "unnecessary vertices" means but i did what i thought it meant and this is the result it looks better but it seems it still has some problems :( if anyone could point out what i'm doing wrong i'd be very grateful.

Hi! Have you tried removing doubles? Doubles basically means there are two points in the same spot, and the parts of the mesh that look connected aren't actually connected, and it might cause the weird lights. (the link goes to a video explaining how to remove doubles) In Blender, go into Edit Mode, press A 1 or 2 times to select your entire mesh, and then in the menu on the left of the screen where you have a mesh, scroll down to see the "Remove Doubles" button.

@voidfeather Hi! Yes i have done that step! it did save me from some bigger trouble i had before this one in any case i went back to blender to remove doubles again in case i missed any. But it says 'removed 0 vertices' which means there weren't any doubles it seems! Thank you for the suggestion, if you have any other idea of what may be causing this i'm all ears.

Hey I looked at the screenshots again and it actually seems that you have an issue with how the texture is mapped and it's not aligned on the parts of the hair you added, to the parts of the hair that were there originally, causing the weird shadows\coloration that breaks off.
Or at least it looks like that.
