Hello guys, I have a problem with the join option in Blender. I'm not a pro in Blender actually a starter and I've had a few creations where I used the join option and everything go well. But this time I have some issues and I don't know what is wrong... Every time I join two or more meshes together, one of the meshes turns out strange. It also happens when I export a mesh and import it to another blender file. I tried to google the solution and I read something about Normal maps and UV maps but my knowledge about blender isn't much and I'm still learning and English is not my native language. So I don't know what to do. Can someone explain to me what I did wrong? And how to fix it? HERE IS THE BLENDER FILE

I've had that happen, too. I think it's a modifier out there that you have not applied yet. Try applying it to the mesh part or getting rid of it before you do the join.

Most likely the normals of your object are getting flipped. The normals indicate in which direction a face is pointing, your are pointing inwards right now. To fix it you can try 2 ways of doing it. 1. In OBJECT MODE select your mesh and press CTRL+A, a menu will pop up. Select Rotation and Scale. Then do it again and choose location. This resets the location, rotation and scale of your object in Blender. It is known to fix a lot of problems. It basically resets the value to 0. You can try doing this after you import your object to another Blender file as you described. 2. Another way to fix it is to go to EDIT MODE, selecting all with CTRL+A (make sure everything is yellow). Press CTRL+N on your keyboard. This will recalculate the normals of your object to flip in the right direction. Sometimes this doesn't solve all the issue and you need to manually select a face that is looking wrong and flip it. You can do that by going to the face selection mode and selecting that face. Then press W on your keyboard and choose "Flip Normals".

Thank you Mathcope, I tried the Second option before I started this thread. It solved my Issue in Blender but when I imported the mesh into Sims 4 studio and everything looked just fine but ingame the object was flipped again.. :( And for option 1 Think I do something wrong because nothing happened.
