Unfortunately objects are composed completely different from clothing and there is no easy way to do that (would involve hex editing). In my opinion it is easier to take an object that has the correct number of cuts and modify that. I know that there are specific types of objects that have the required shader values but not the right cuts. In that case I would clone the object that has the right cuts then change the shader to match the other. For instance one of the microwaves has 4 cuts and 4 textures, each with different shader values. My S3 CAS Room Replacement mod started as a microwave.
