Hello, I have not been creating long, so I'm unsure of what to call this. What in a mesh causes this to happen and how can I fix it? Thanks. I really don't get why one part of the bow is staying still and the other stretched like that because I did not do anything special to either side.

hello can you please share your package and blend file? this looks like a weight or uv_1 problem. please look at these two threads on weight transfering and uv_1

So I still don't know what the problem is. I also tried just not trying to merge the bow with the suit (with is the only thing I had done in the first place) and just have the bow as a necklace, and while that fixed the weird stretching issue, the bow does not equally deform on both sides, so I think that's where the problem lies. It's also not correctly anchored to the neck (which I don't know how to do) so the bow does not shift correctly when a sim moves: here you can see the left side of the bow is narrower here the left side of the bow is wider here you can see how the neck moves but the bow doesn't move nearly as much any help is appreciated!

You're uv_1 appears to be the problem. CAS items have two UV maps. uv_0 is for the regular texture and how it maps to the mesh. uv_1 tells the game how the mesh should move with the sliders. Your bowtie is mapped in the wrong place on the uv_1. It should be in roughly the top centre of that large open area in the circle. You may also need to play about with altering the shape slightly. I would try with just moving it first and see what results you get and then play about with the scale and shape if you need to afterwards.
