Hey!
I am just wondering if there are any creators (Preferably people who mesh) who use mac's as their operating system? I currently have a Macbook pro and would like to create meshes for TS4 but I am not quite sure how to go about it when some of the programs I've been told I need are seemingly only available for Windows :(
If any one might be able to help with this, suggest some alternative programs that they use to create on mac - or point me in the right direction that would be great and much appreciated!
Thank you! <3

Hi carmensandersDepends on what program you are talking about. I will gladly give you alternatives if you name something... But as far as modding goes on a mac, you only need S4S, blender and a 2D editing program such as Photoshop or Gimp. (Which all exist under Mac OS) But if you really want to use something else, well, Cinema4D, 3DS max, Maya those all work on Mac Os as well. So I don't know of which programs you are talking about.

Hi! Thanks for your response, I was wondering if you may know a place to get Marvelous Designer for free because that is a program I am familiar with and have made meshes in the past with, but not on a mac operating system. However, I do have the student version of Maya on my computer now, Photoshop CC 2018, and blender as well. I was looking online to download 3Ds Max but it seems that even though this is the same place I was able to download Maya (student version) - 3DS Max is a .exe file extension which is only for windows operating systems. If at all possible, it would just be easier if there was a way to use MD7 or MD5 to do meshes but if this is not possible for like a student version or free version.. then yes - please do tell me how you would suggest I go about the meshing process given the information I've provided now! Thanks again for your kind response :D

you cannot get marvelous designer for free unless you are using the trial version. and we also do not suggest cracking it because that's illegal. there is a tutorial here that shows how to convert md meshes to sims 4

Hi,
It seems you can google as well as I. Indeed for 3DS max I spoke a bit too fast as you need to emulate windows on a mac through parallel desktop, vm ware fusion or bootcamp. This can generally speaking be the solution to all your questions as well btw. For MD, it's as Anna says, there is no fully free version. There is only a 30 days free trial.
Also you seem to forget that you don't need MD to mesh anything. You can do everything in Blender. Using Maya or 3DS max or another program is only a matter of preference. All the tools are available in every program, it is but a matter of learning how to use them. Meshing is not limited to programs that do everything for you.
