1. export the nude top and export the nude bottom from s4studio. 2. open the nude top in blender 3. append the nude bottom in blender 4. join the two together 5. import own mesh .obj 6. append mesh for uv1...and then on..... I ask because my mesh clips in CAS only in the crotch area when made fat, and I noticed in blender, I couldn't "hide" the bottom part of the exported mesh at all, even after they were joined together. So I think I did something wrong with importing the nude meshes. Or weights didn't transfer right from my EA mesh?
I am asking to confirm if this is the right way to go about making a full body outfit. If it is I can narrow down my mistakes better.

you're right. however, the body inside of the mesh your importing isn't necessary. if want to avoid clipping issues you can go into edit mode and delete parts of the nude body that the clothing will cover.

Thank you My dress was very short so I didn't delete the crotch area, but that might be the best way to avoid it then.
