Good evening people! At the moment my project is a set of accessory sleeves, which are set as bracelets. But one thing, that I noticed was, that it makes dark / intensly colored clothing items lose in quality, texture wise. this is the comparison. I am aware, that I chose a CC shirt to showcase it, but it also happens to EA content. Does anyone out here know how to fix this? Here's a link to the package file! XX

I believe you're missing the specular on the item. You need to create one and adjust the alpha to the texture space of your accessory. Also, wrist accessories don't seem to have a normal map, yours has and it might be applying to the whole body since all CAS items textures get composed to a single image in game.
Since this two maps interact with how the light is applied it's almost sure one of those that's causing issue.

Well, I removed the normal map and added a specular mask, which has the texture space in white and the rest in black, but now I have the sleeves shining brighter than my future. I kept the actual specular map blank but imported a mask, since that's what I see with certain clothing items as well. And yeah, the shirt texture still loses it's quality.

The specular image needs to be black. Black is for no shine and white is for full shine. The mask should be fine though as it is.

It is important that the mask is restricted to the area of your sleeves texture, the main specular image needs to be black for matte effect as menaceman said above. Also, if this doesn't fix the issue, have you checked if this happens with the EA original clone you used? If it does, try using a different clone.

Mathcope menaceman44 Thank you very much for your approaches! In the end, it was actually the shadow map that caused the loss of quality! I appreciate your help!

I see... thanks for clearing that up. Glad that it's fixed. Although they weren't causing this issue, was important to fix the spec and normal map because if someone used your sleeves with other clothes it would have interfered.
