Hi, I'm really new to making cc, and I'm trying to make some new mattresses. I want to have them separate from any bed frame, and I want to make double, single, and toddler mattresses. Is there a way to do this without having to use other people's meshes?

I don't make new meshes myself but I think in blender you can seperate the bed frame and the matress. Then you can export the matress and recolor it. I hope this helps

Sadly I don't know how to do this. I've tried but it doesn't seem to be removing the bed frame at all.

Yup, I just realized that too. But as I said I don't usually create new meshes, so I can't help you. :'(

Hi! The basic premise of how to properly import an object whether is CAS or build/buy is that your blend edit MUST have the same amount of meshgroups (with their respective cut numbers) as the original. If the bed is composed by two mesh groups, then your mattress has to have the same amount. You'll have to go into the frame's meshgroup and delete everything leaving at least a set of vertices so as to not to leave the mesh group empty. You can then hide the vertices hidden inside the mattress. If you're just starting with blender i suggest going to youtube and watching some beginner guides to know your way with the program. If you'd like someone to check out your files, please share the package and blend file You'll need to upload them somewhere (dropbox, mediafire, simfileshare) and paste the sharing (not from the address bar!) link here.
