So yesterday my friend kept texting me about something particular to do with her sims 4 game and S4S. She does not have the game through origin. No its not cracked either we checked. Her brother actually had it installed and he said he bought license keys for everything and it was not cheap let me tell you.And it has the same setup computer wise concerning where the folders go just not origin game files.
Back to the main point she download s4s and tried to fix her cc but it would always say "Error: no game path." So what should she do? I would love to hear your thoughts because I'm completely stumped here.

It seems it doens't know where to find s4s so you might have to help it find the computer path to the game...and there should be an error log in the s4s folder. The text from the log would help to narrow things down.
To the other issue about not being able to use the origin client... the game and s4s doesn't really like odd sources for the game. It's possible that you could still get origin to recognize the game. I recall buying sims 3 via steam and had to search google to find a way to add it to my origin. I can't remember how I did it, but maybe you could add the game to the origin client and get it to work. That is as long as it's a legitimate copy and you did say it was.
Good luck.

Tried still nothing it won't let her fix the path to the game. As for trying to put it on origin I have no clue how she would do that. Yes license keys for every pack was bought with a downloader. Sims 4 cracked versions pixel up within the first 30 minutes according to an article I found about it so it never pixeled up = legitimate. Her brother was smart enough to get the vendor's information as well just in case they were sold a bootleg copy.

There is only two ways to get a legit copy of the game.
You either buy a bundle in a store (which contains a redeemable key to download the game from origin) or you buy a key directly and redeem it in origin. Either way you need origin. Cracked Sims4 pixeling up after 30min is not true.
So first step: get your game license keys to be recognized by origin and installed through the launcher.

we already figured it out, in short it was the origin account acting up itself. Her brother purchased from a site called CD keys which say they go through origin but it can be quiet a hassle to get origin to recognize it. As for a legitimate copy thing Zelrish people buy the "offline" version, which is when someone pretty much sells their license keys but it is still on their origin account. Its actually really pretty common and thats what I thought what was the issue for a while that her brother got her an "offline" version.

I've heard of that website. I know that my TS3 copy from steam was sort of a pain in the butt to get recognized by the origin client. Sounds like you've got it squared away and sorted out. I'm glad.
