Hello, I'm new here but am amazed at how well S4S works, I thought it would take ages before I could get a model into the game but it's easier than I thought. I'm still very much at the experimental stage and will probably have loads of questions but would like to get some feedback on my first model, it's not ready for publishing by any stretch of the imagination but it works! My main intention is to make some windows but I got sidetracked as the base game windows I looked at have about six different meshes so I'm still looking into that. Here is my TV, I am amazed the thing actually works. I started off with the cheapest Maxis TV (which I don't like as it is too boxy) and replaced the screen with one from another model TV I built (I've been using Blender for years for other stuff) and added some switches and knobs from another model too then rebuilt the front of the Maxis TV body mesh and edited the diffuse texture to give it a more retro wooden cabinet. I suspect the poly count is pretty high so it will need simplifying and the other thing I am wondering is whether I should go to a 512 x 512 texture as the quality is quite poor. Here is a link to the package if anyone is interested in having a look. 1drv.ms/u/s!AmwVlWhPInWGgfo2RS9terfGkcTNUA

Congrats on your first CC item! It turned out quite well! As you said, the optimizing the polycount it's crucial for games. Try comparing the polycount of EA's meshes and try not to overcome that numbers by a extremely high amount.
