Hi guys, i'am totally new into modding The Sims 4. I read some short quick guide tutorials on how to make my own Lifespan mod for my Sims, it worked really fine, i adapted the spans to a Sim year, since the new expansions Season came out. So at least i thought, well when you can edit and Change the aging time, you might be able to do that for the Season Length going beyond even 28 days per month/Season to 90 or 84 days to make it some what of a more realistic Season Duration which lasts for each 3 months, and also a month in real life has up to 30 days. So quickly i found the corresponding Tuning source, but changing it also with the Sim Data of the Tuning, takes in game test no effect, in the Options still quoted the old day/length Options 7-30 days not the ones i changed to. The calender also did not update. At to this Point i don't know how to fix that. What i Need to do to get it working and override the Season Length. Did i miss something, is it in the end possible to do that at last? Any help, tips, or Solutions are appreciated. Thank you anyways.

I was curious and went looking. I think I found the tuning file you changed, seems simple enough. But it may just be that the GUI doesn't change? Thant's just a guess based on nothing. Have you tried running a test like set the seasons to 3 days? or maybe it has to be a multiple of 7 for some reason?

Thanks for the Reply with those suggestions and sorry for the late Reply. Unfortunately changing the days below 7 or any other integer, did not working as well. It could be there is a Special multiplicator in the TunableTimeSpan function Maybe, also GUI Element, e.g. for the calendar, edits Need to be done in combination with some Scripting source files. I have set them up, still Need to find the Right functions and a way to modify gfx files, seems to be a hard workaround. If you or anyone are more knowledged in those Kind of Things, i would be very pleasured to know About more and learn such advanced stuff, a slight link to a guide would be also very appreciating.^^ Thanks in Advance again.

Hi little update i managed to get it to work after those kind of steps happened, might be a bit curiosity, cause it enabled the question, does it work due of my research and investment or the todays patch made it work and possible in the end O.o. Well after the question, up until now,why my edited day values won't override its tuning, i thought off it may be the possibility or case that something else, a data source or so reset the edits back to normal. Plausible if you think about it, so with passion of discover to reveal all secrets to solve all my issue, and i guess some luckily tweaking in the studio editor. Within the Game file cruiser i filtered the game build client package if i am not wrong, with the Sim Data Source Type number of the season tuning , what i discovered was something strange or the solver, however the season tuning exists 2 times with different Instances(TuningID), by just using the tuning extractor tool which i had to at first, i got only one, editing only that one from the extraction of a tuning file seems not to work, cause it twin part of the full game build package resets it, that's what i guessing. So i add both Sim Data files of season tuning to the package, also to notice the second one have no raw tuning source, which comes up with the idea to create one for that Sim Data. So i have 2 Tuning pairs now, with the same content to edit but different instance (TuningID), edit both to the adjustments i wantt, create the package, did the things to initialize the mod package to load, by copying the mod in the Mods folder, was excited to see if it works then, but oh, while intending to start the launcher, the game got an update. So i stopped from going into game to redo everything in Sims 4 Studio, made the edits again and load the game this time and et voila it works except the display of the season day lengths in the option panel, seems to be an UI matter, so they containing no values to load, they just standing for the selectable options Normal, Long and Very Long in the tunings, like in the aging transition, adding own options might require to edit the UI drop down element in the options panel ^^. You might ask yourself, well nice to know that, but how it works then now? Well in game when you select option 7 Days it will trigger to load the Normal Length option with its value in my case 28 days not 7 days, and other information, like to draw the new calendar mapping(calendar do update too :D), and the display of Day 1 of X in the current started Season. Option 14 Days (=Long length option) will load 56 days instead of 14, and the last one 84 the tripple of 28 days as the Very Long option length. I am glad it works now, but i am not sure if the twin tuning solved it or the patch xD, What do you think? If there are some questions or something not understandable or everything is not really clear i try to answer them and will reply to you. Anyway i wish you a nice weekend and happy modding the Sims experience. I might release the mod tomorrow, here or in the release section, so someone of you can check it out or work further on it, maybe we will handle the UI part for the option panel soon. Good evening to you all .

I am trying to do the same, setting my season length to 56 days, but it won't work. It seemed to work first and the calender showed the 56 days, but it's not working when playing out. The calender keeps resetting the current season to day 1 whenever it reaches day 29... So you're stuck in an endless season and the calender gets completely messed up.
I hardly have any modding knowledge. Can anyone help? Or could you perhaps share your mod with me, sebbel?
